Amazon has one with the 59” track (no batteries) for $409 and you can then apply the $20 promo. I’m a big fan of knockoff batteries for the Makita since I’ve had good luck with them. I wonder if that would be a better deal. There isn’t much you can do with the 39” track, is there?

My understanding is that many set them up as a dedicated 90° crosscut track. Since cross cutting is often 24" or so that leaves 7.5" to hang off either side of the work piece.

39” is great I use it all the time. Cutting off the bottom of doors: most doors are 37.5 or smaller. Also cutting back flooring for replacing doors it can fit between most door jambs.

You guys are doing a great job finding and reporting teal deals and steals... because Makita seems to run a pretty tight ship, putting the lock down on any retailer who dares advertise Makita tools below MAP. (Minium Advertised Pricing).
I'm on a desperate hunt for an XUX01Z... in any flavor... XUX01M5PT (OPE LXT 18vX2 Power Head with String trimmer Attachment, charger and batteries included)... XUX01M5... (Power Head and String Trimmer without batteries or charger)... or ideally, just the XUX01Z (Power Head only), so I can buy the Brush Cutter attachment (EM400MP) separately, instead of living with the String Trimmer attachment (EM405MP) out of guilt since it is more than good enough if it comes with an M5 kit.
But not one tool outlet anywhere has any version of this stuff on sale that I can find. And spring is upon us, with the weeds a rising. Maybe that's why?
Honestly, I'd happily pay full sticker, no dicker, with sales tax to boot, to ANY store within a 50 mile radius of me... if they actually had these units in stock. But NO one carries them. I don't know how Makita's headquarters in Japan puts up with MakitaUSA's horrible and hollow sales, marketing, and distribution. It doesn't matter how good Makita tools are, if consumers have zero opportunity to even feel how they fit in their hands prior to purchase.
Anyway, I haven't found any other company that offers both a gas (MM4 Power Head that is a less polluting, higher torque, at lower RPM, with quieter operation, and a special valve that permits 360 degree rotation with no time limitations) as well as a cordless battery operated power head solution that uses a wide variety of interchangeable tool attachments (articulated hedge trimmer, rotary broom, rotary paddle wheel, brush cutter, string trimmer, coffee harvester, pole mounted chain saw, cultivator) that work equally well with both the gas and the battery power heads.
And the batteries are not big giant EGO or Greenworks behemouths. Instead, they are the same batteries that work in Makita impact drivers and drills and saws. What could possibly be more convenient and symbiotic than that?
Yet no stores in the SF Bay Area, one of the richest local economies in the world, have these OPE products on display. I'm guessing most OPE work is hired out to services, who rely on 2 stroke gas. I want the peace and quiet of cordless battery, and if really necessary, the lower pollution and fueling convenience of 4 stroke.
So bring on the online deals on the teal. There is no bricks and mortar to save in this backyard.

It probably depends on how you’re going to use it. I intend to use it while I’m working on my car and working in crawlspaces. If I were going to try to illuminate a room let’s say while I’m painting, I would probably get the stand. I’m not sure if you save anything by getting the stand when you get the light? If not, you could probably just order the stand later.

I passed on the track saw kit, because the one on sale is Makita's older XPS01 version of plunge cut track saw, not Makita's newer improved XPS02 version.. with AWS. I'm convinced that I will later appreciate the automatic wireless start feature for chip and dust reduction, especially to keep debris out of the track.
But I did take advantage of ACME tools POTOFGOLD sale. So did a lot of others, apparently, as the estimated hold times on the phone were over an hour. I did the order online, but ACME's web commerce algorithm classified my email address for the last 20 years as invalid, even while accepting a trial fictitious email address of [email protected] without issue. I eventually gave up and established a new email address just to complete the order.
It was worth the $200 I saved in the process.

Yes they do. Makita's teal MakPak boxes connect just fine to both the original style Tanos / Festool Systainers, as well as the newer T handle Tanos / Festool Systainers.
The only issue is, when using the MakPak boxes with the newer T handle Tanos boxes, the benefit of the T Handle is eliminated. But the same issue is true when combining original Tanos boxes with newer T handle boxes.
The newer style T handle boxes were designed to interlock with the original style boxes (Makita's version replicates the original style). But obviously, the tilting feature of the T handle will not be able to be utiliized, even though all the boxes will still interconnect with each other for transport, storage, and stack security.
I wouldn't hesitate to get Makita MakPak boxes, if you are already into the Tanos or Festool system. The container system that Makita is incompatible with is the Sortimo / Bosch L-Boxx system. But Tanos and Festool are likewise not compatible with Sortimo / Bosch.
Personally, I haven't much cared for any of those plastic boxes. Too small to hold the size of tools that I have, or to contain the accessories to the tools that I would like to keep together, because they are used together. And the plastic is too fragile for trusting in the hands of helpers hauling the tools.

I found one here on long island ny! $325! Theres a display model in box, missing the 2 batts left. Bellport long island. Took me an hour to find it up on the racks. A secret shopper(security) questioned what I was up to. I explained I was looking for a clearance item. He found it funny.

So far, all I've been able to find on Makita deals are the $20 off $100, which seems to be pretty universal, but somehow, I managed to miss a $25 off $100 sale at toolnut.com within the last couple of weeks. So I think this is the new standard to be on the lookout for... $25 off $100. A search for those terms revealed that a similar discount was offered on Amazon within the last 4 months.

I’ll have to wait and compare it when I get it, but I’m not super impressed with the red. Not a long run time and a high annoying whine. IMHO. The 36v x2 should help with run time at least. The Makita quote a 61 dB and the Milwaukee is 63 dB but I’ll see what real world level is when I get it.

But didn't Milwaukee release a new version? I'm sure the comparisons I recall would have been the first generation blower. Is the first gen Milwaukee the one on sale?
I have the Makita X2 & like it a lot but haven't used the Milwaukee. I might have to pick up a second at the that price.

Gen2 Milwaukee is rated for like 10cfm more or so than Gen1, and doesn't have the same trigger mechanism as Gen1. Some prefer the Gen1 trigger & speed lock switch. I would rather see a x2 M18 blower, actually a backpack blower really, as I can't see any M18 blower doing better than the Makita 36v.
I will agree there is a whine to the blower, but I didn't think it was as noticable as it is on the M18 fan, which is why I don't have that anymore & went with Ryobi.
