Brand new Dual 80 1/4 drive. Fit on the square drive is sloppy as hell and has some odd ring on the drive. Some type of integral wobble feature? I don't like it.

Pictured extension is a Proto.

I think it's called a hi-lock or hy-lock ratchet. That's a friction ring on the anvil like alot of impact wrenches have. Im not sure if the amount of "wobble" you're showing there is normal or not for that ratchet.

As stated it's a hilok ratchet for aircraft fasteners.

I have one in 1/4 flavor and converted it to a quick release. The kit fits perfectly and is a handy little ratchet.

Could be the extension is sagging because the ratchet just isn’t made for use with an extension. Does a shallow socket by itself stay on there fine? As mentioned, the ratchet is made for an allen to pass through the socket, no extension involved.
