More Powerbuilt Pro Tech goodies. Really liking what I have seen so far in the lineup, including their screwdrivers and ratchets. Wanted to try a few other things, so got some pliers and their metric reversible ratcheting wrenches to see what they are like. And the 1/2 flex ratchet will replace the HF pro long flex in the service truck. After these get some use I will post reviews in the Powerbuilt Pro Tech review thread.

In celebration of my first paycheck at the new job, I managed to snag a green Daytona floor jack on my way home after work. Have not lifted anything with it yet, but it is built like a tank... very heavy, very solid. I will hopefully get time to use it this weekend.

The low profile was only an extra $10 and it tucks nicely out of the way under my US General cart. Also less than 6 pumps from bottom to max height.
Nice jack. I'm planning on buying two of those in orange for my garage.

Congrats on the new job btw. Did you end up going back to work in the automotive service field or a new venture?

Got these yesterday. They didn’t fit in the Hanson trays so I ended up modifying them a bit. Unfortunately I took to much plastic off so now they slide around in the trays. However, I’ll never take them out of the box by the trays anyway. I ended up cutting off the handle on top as well to make more room in the drawer.

Williams supercombo wrenches! I was little nervous ordering them without seeing them first. They came in beautiful all except the 6mm appears to have the chrome peeling off. The rest look awesome! Can’t wait to use them.

Munchkin bolt cutters. On sale at menards and I had a rebate coupon burning a hole in my pocket. I'm really not sure what I will use them for but they were too cute to pass up

Some bird hunters in the north country carry that model in their vest in case their dog gets caught in a conibear trap. You'd have to get there pretty fast, but if you do they'll cut the trap.

I carry strong zip ties and hope my dog never runs into an illegal ground set.

1. Needed Blue Tape... local place had it for almost $8 a roll... uhm... NO. AWD = 9 rolls for under $20
2. FastCap Magnetic Square - always wanted one... it was $10 cheaper on Amazon than directly from FastCap. (COO = China, but good quality)

Let me know how you like it. I'm sure I'll inevitably lose or break my Rev just like the wingman it replaced.

I have this saw and the dewalt DWE7491RS. The bosch is a fine saw, but the Dewalt is so much better...The fence system is just incredible for the price.

The bosch rolling stand is about ten times better than the Dewalt stand though.

I completely agree that the fence system on the Dewalt is much better, that's the weakest point of the Bosch in my opinion.

Some more pawnshop plunder. Inopportune b/c I have one of that brushless impacts showing up....Wednesday from HD (free w/ Grease Gun). Oh well, gotta take it as it comes. I have been wanting a fast charger for a while now, and that alone was worth it.

Anyone want a 2.0 Ah Ridgid Battery or 20v B&D Battery or 20v PC charger?? :lol_hitti

Initial sentiment is; this is one high quality tool. I have an older Wave which is alright for camping. I have a Rebar for work, that I’m not overly impressed with the build feel; kind of rattles because some of the tools are loose.

The Free is on a whole different level, it costs more, but you immediately feel why. It should cost more money. So solid and smooth. The way the pliers click into place, the way the tools are accessed; everything about it is in a league if its own.

I picked the P2 cause it’s lighter, and I didn’t want a saw. The combo blade didn’t bother me because I always carry a proper blade. It happens to be razor sharp fwiw.

I have no idea how the competition will answer this.

New set of Facom 440's turned up today. Not sure how i feel about the finish, the older French made 40 series are smoother. Snap on standard length 12mm to compare.

It would be really interesting to see a side by side comparison with the new Milwaukee combination wrenches and those Facoms. Not sure if you have them available in the UK, but here is an example.

This is the first time in a looooong time that I've lost a tool. It was my beloved Braun work light. My plan was to replace it with an Astro 65SL, but then my SO dealer had the new 14.4 work light on the truck. On an impulse I bought it, but it's turning out to be a great light. It's not quiet obvious by the pic, but it's substantially larger than the Braun. Being able to swap out batteries when it goes dead is also a huge plus for me.

He also had a deal on FDX sockets that peaked my interest. I've been wanting to try them out for a while since I've seen only polarizing reviews. (People seem to only hate them or love them) He knows how I like my ratchets (locking flex head, quick release, and comfort grip), so he swapped out the ratchet in the box with the style ratchet I like and I was pretty much sold. I figured I would test the waters with the cheapest set (1/4" drive).

"free" ratchet

And the FDX sockets...
