Some guy I've never dealt with before started ringing my phone off the wall around 6:30 this morning from an Iowa phone number.
I didnt answer so he sends me a text around 6:35 saying he needs an electrician.
I text him back asking what he needs done,he says a basement.
Then he texts me a list of switches and outlets and light he wants installed and wants a price to install it all in a 1200 sf basement.
I tell him I need to see the job or a set of plans to bid the job,so he sends me a drawing around 6:45.
At 6:47 he texts me back with hello? Then at 6:50 he texts me saying dont you need the work?
So I tell him give me a minute while i think about a price.
So i just tell him $3600.00 for labor and material,not including any light fixtures.
I still have no clue who he is or who gave him my number,so i text him asking his name and if hes the general.
He texts me back saying forget it,hes already got a cheaper bid.
So I text him back saying I bet he didnt call the other guy at 6:30 am wanting a bid on the job 10 mins later without being able to set foot on the job.
I told him ya get what ya pay for.
