Although I tend to be wildly capitalistic and love an open market anything goes type attitude, I also find it annoying when someone has something they claim they want to sell but then they think you are supposed to beg for it. Last three vises I tried to buy, they all wanted me to make an offer without ever telling me a FIRM sales price. No matter what you offer, they want more. Or after they tell you a price, and you tell them you will buy it, they say, "I am not sure I want to sell it.". The same type people that lay awake at night and worry they sold something 50 cents cheaper than they could have got. Even worse than those who torture themselves worrying if they paid too much (scared of the past, afraid of the future). No self confidence, scared little children.
Shake my hand, take my money, lets load the vise and move on to the next deal. Nonsense games are for children. It is your vise, if you do not know what you will sell it for, who does? Trust me, there is ALWAYS someone else SOME DAY that "might" pay more for it, so keep it the rest of your life and someone else can buy it at your estate sale. The rest of us buy and sell things, we are in the real "game" so to speak. We win, we lose, we have adventures, we have fun, we embrace the thrill of life. You are just a spectator, sitting on the sidelines, so scared to do anything, you never get to really play because you are too afraid to try. If I buy something for $10 and sell it for a $100 and people say I could have sold it for $125 dollars. I don't give a damn. I made $90. I will take my $90 and buy something else (that I usually also make money on). You will keep yours ten times longer and make a lot less money in the long run than I will. You think you are smarter than I am, I think I have a lot more interesting life. I enjoy my "stupid" existence.
I have enough pride and self confidence so I don't "need" to have anything bad enough to beg for it.
