I have no need for a vise. Sure don't need two, but I love my pair of 1941 4 and 3 inch vises. The 3 inch is almost done.

If anyone knows where I can locate original lockdowns for a 1941 (stamped 1946) 3 inch please let me know.

Thanks for looking. feedback welcomed.

KMScott makes them, he is on here.

If they have 1946 stamps that is likely when they were made, the ones made 5 years prior to the date stamped on the keyway are marked GUAR EXP for Guaranty Expiration. Very early Wilton's didn't have a 5 year guarantee anyways, there is a thread in Vintage Tools section with more info.

That's a decent looking pair of vises, a little more work will get that 3" working right! KMScott has the main screw collar too if you need one.

I was wondering if the stamps would truly be 1941. But a pair of 1946 are still nice

Sort of akin to saying men not actively fathering children have no need for their masculine equipment. Women not actively nursing babies have no need for breasts. Much would stop if active using was the prime directive. Some things are just good to look at and fun to play with.
