Most of the youtube I watch these days are channels where people make things, restore things, tool reviews, etc. All of which a DIY, garage dwelling, tool loving, wrench turning, individual would love. I have learned a lots of different ways to accomplish different tasks and been inspired and have gotten plenty of ideas from these channels. So I thought I'd share some of the better the ones that I watch and would love to see your suggestions as well. And I'm sure many of you will probably already have subscribed to many of these as well.

In no specific order:

AvE - (probably the biggest and undoubtedly the most popular tool channel and for good reason. Gotta love the BOLTR vids. But couldnt make this list without mentioning him.)

Real Tool Reviews - In my opinion the absolute best tool review channel there is. Seemingly unbiased and exceptionally well thought out reviews of tools and related products.

Project Farm - I love this channel. He does all kinds of stuff that would interest almost anyone. Want to know if bananas will work as engine oil? This guy will put it to the test. Want to know what super glue or duct tape is the best? You'll find very thorough and well thought out tests to discover the answers. Completely unsponsored and unbiased.

Laura Kampf - She's a maker that builds all kinds of things from a leatherman type tool to fit her needs, a multi-keychain, mini work bench, drill powered boat, etc. Her vids have great production value and its very entertaining and educating to watch her work.

Pask Makes- One of the best makers on youtube. He is an exceptional woodworker, blacksmith, and just all around maker. He makes all kinds of stuff and has TONS of great knowledge to pick up by watching his vids. His videos are also of great production value and are very entertaining.

Brett McAfee - Another maker that does exceptional work and employs great production value into his videos.

Random Hands - Really nice restorations of firearms, knives, tools and other random things.

Odd Tinkering - Really nice restorations of more random objects.

My Mechanics - Again, really nice restorations or random objects.

I could probably recommend more. But these are my favorites and I highly recommend them.

Abom79 is one I've really enjoyed for a long time. The guy seems very down to earth and doesn't try to hype up stuff. His content is mostly machining with a small amount of welding thrown in.

Nyccnc is another one I've really enjoyed. John has done some really good videos on fusion 360 cam as well as cnc machining.

The Project Binky series by Bad Obsession Motorsports is one of the best Youtube series out there. This particular series follows the two hosts as they completely re-engineer an Austin Mini and install a Celica AWD drivetrain.

Sampson Boat Co. is another awesome channel of a young Brit completely restoring a 1907 yacht.

Always on the lookout for his "seasoned" coffee cups amongst the workbench stuff.

His testing of wall anchors was VERY informative.

I got hooked on Tom's Techniques years ago but I don't think he has done anything in a while.

I like Abom's work but I could do without the mail call ****, don't know why but there's no value or reason for that. Drop people a call or text telling them thanks but no need to take up a quarter to half of the video opening packages.

I also like This Old Tony as he is creative and funny.

I still find myself watching Mr Pete as he is old school and I respect that.

I don't watch many on general repair. I've been watching Brad at Trail Recon lately and really enjoy his channel as well as some other Jeeping videos.

I regularly check AvE, This Old Tony, RR Buildings, MN Millennial Farmer and Essential Craftsman.

Occasionally I will watch Frank Howarth, Ox Tool, Abom or Brian Block.

My guilty pleasure is sometimes I check out Logger Wade or Andrew Camarata. Damnedest bunch of rednecks, but they get it done.

Clickspring This guy makes clocks and other intricate mechanical mechanisms. Also makes most of his own tools. Abom79 may win a 4 jaw chuck contest, but Chris can file hundreds of gear teeth to .001" by eye. His video quality is also way up there.

Keith Rucker Vintage machinery restoration for a Georgia Railroad Museum

VINwiki for automotive stories from Ed Bolean and some people you wouldn't leave alone with your kids.

Machine Thinking origins of machine tools and how we achieved the precision we know today

Tom's Turbo Garage Interesting car builds that are done with the mind of an engineer and the precision of a surgeon.

Lot's of good channels. I follow mostly car related stuff.

I'm also a fan of Sloppymechanics, very bright can-do techy guy with dyno access that makes cars go fast on a budget.

I've been watching Goonzquad for a while, 2 really talented young brothers that rebuild nice cars.

And for a bit of fantasy, DailyDrivenExotics to see how rich car guys live.

One I like is Arthur tussik. This is a Russian auto body man who repairs wrecks that should go to the junk yard.
Living in a port city it will amaze you at the wrecked cars being shipped overseas.

I'm not sure what i like about Andrew but I very much enjoy watching his channel. He's a young guy that learns things through the school of hard knocks. He's a hacker when it comes to concrete work but he learns from his failures, I guess watching him is somewhat like looking in a mirror from the past and maybe that's why I like watching his videos.

He does great intro and exit work with his drone and he has cool dogs.

Project Binky is always tops on my list and as soon as a new episode is posted, I'm there watching it. Brit humor is awesome.

Many of my favorites are already listed like;
Project Binky
Ave
Weld.com
Welding tips and tricks
This old Tony and many others.

But I like to play music while I'm working in the old garage. While I like a pretty wide variety, here are my favorites;

Sina - a German girl who rocks the drums with a pretty wide range of music styles https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3oAHDiRCbE7tJpLWbia5xyuCAUcyJNHr

MEYTAL Cohen, great drum skills and plays a lot of (what else?) Metal covers with a beautiful smile https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3oAHDiRCbE59s-vZBtguAATzVwURl_jb

Brooke C. Also mostly metal with a lot of great Tool covers. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3oAHDiRCbE68KPRiz3OqLQZGpzEfs1Dt

Elise Trouw (the u is silent) a new discovery for me: she does "live looping" but has the prettiest voice and a really chill vibe to just listen to while sipping a bourbon. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3oAHDiRCbE4QvaausyLIX3r0uKPeF1hV
You gotta give her version of The Girl from Ipanema a look/listen

Oh! Almost forgot Pentatonix - incredible a capella renditions of a variety of music https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3oAHDiRCbE6XpWdM4nI3RqEGnucHe94w

You might stop what you're working on to watch this group
