Hello fellow tool people! I've been wanting another bench grinder for a while now. I've got a 6" but I really want an 8". When I'm wire wheeling old tools and whatnot, sometimes the 6" wheel is too small and close to the body of the grinder to get good access to the wheel and really get into those tight places on whatever it is that I'm cleaning up. About 2 weeks ago, I found this gem (although it was in much rougher condition) at a garage sale for $5! It was covered in grease, the paint was flakin' off and the grinder wheel that came with it was egg shaped, not round. I didn't care, because that meant I got to tear it apart, clean it up and make it nice and usable again. I still need to order an 8" wire wheel and mount the motor on a board, but maybe that'll happen this weekend. I did make a video of the whole project. Here's the YouTube link for anyone interested:
