Hollands Vise Co bench (display rack?)

First post at GJ.

I inherited a low bench that my parents used to put boots and shoes on by the door. It's iron (rusted) and has the name Hollands Vise Co on the sides.

It appears to have a bluish green paint that's mostly worn/rusted away.

Has anyone seen a bench like this? I'm curious what color I should use to repaint it?

That's pretty cool looking. I would paint it black but green would look nice, too.

I wanted to follow up on this post... I've spent some time with this little display rack.

I was able to use all the wood. It got scrubbed down, glued & clamped for weeks to fix cracks. I had to reclamp it to take out the warp on a couple of the boards. Then staining and 10 coats of raw linseed oil.

Soaking in vinegar to clean the iron up.

Ready for the wire wheel.

Shot of primer to stop flash rust.

To the bead blaster.

One more time.

Rustoleum green.

One Shot metallic brass.

Coming along nicely.

Painting the screws after I cleaned up the slots with a hammer and punch.

Project assembled.

That is strange. I quoted your post and copied the photo link and then pasted it in a new tab/window just to see the photos...and then when I returned to your post all the squares were gone and the photos were there.
Maybe they are too large?
