I guess you could consider a lighter a tool... Question about a lighter

I got this old looking lighter in a box with tools and hardware at an estate sale. I'm assuming it takes butane because it has what looks like a flow adjustment knob. But the tip on my butane can doesnt fit what looks to be the fill valve.
Anyone know how to fill it?

No. I've got 3 different brand cans here and they all have the same size tip and did not come with other sizes. Hmm

Could find very little information about this model online, but I did find a few pictures and I believe the needle is broken off the fill valve. I can't find replacements anywhere though so I dont know that I'll be able to fix it.
I just thought it was neat and would be a fun conversation starter to carry. I sent an email to a ronson parts guy in the UK hoping maybe he can source me a new valve
