Just a bump for Tony's garage, as these two pics were one of his final posts. It was an awesome build and for those who haven't seen it check his website for the interior and the story it is very detailed and he wrote alot about the process.

Working on refurb now. I'll have a 2400 sq ft apartment, 800 sq ft shop, paint booth, white epoxy floor and all nice and neat.

I don't know you. I'm never likely to meet you. But I do know that I hate you more than I hate my ex-wife (and that's a lot!). :lol_hitti

Are you seriously going to live in there? To quote the chained up prisoner in Life of Brian "You lucky, lucky B**tard!"

Here is a photo of mine. I just finished it last year. I don't do any heavy work, but Ive done oil changes, brake jobs, exhaust work, tire swaps, suspension work etc. I just put down a large shower curtain before I work, so I can keep her looking clean!! I know, I'm a little nuts.......

Looks like I'm in the minority on this forum--all my toys are woodworking machines! But I do love my garage.

I came upon this site this week and all the stories are wonderful. I've been working on my shop project for five years. Finally down to seeing a dim light in the tunnel. I've converted a 1954 corn crib (barn) into a wood shop and office upstairs.

Neighbor--thanks for blowing my little 2 car garage out of the water!! Your barn is something like what I hope to have in retirement someday. Please post some interior shots. I'm super jealous!

my fav. pics of my little space. the plans are for this summer to straighten it out(tilts towards my neighbors garage) cover the walls in osb, and start re-siding the front. i need to run power to it still, and maybe fix the floor.

Mini me....

IMG_0509.jpg

Yeah yeah yeah. Nice try but kids are easily trained to bring daddy another beer. Trained three myself. They can even pretty easily open the fridge door. Now that dog there - that's more of a challenge.
I'm waiting.

BTW - can you animate that avatar? I remember that one....

finally got my tools and parts moved from a rented 30x40 shop back into my 19x22 garage. didnt have room for all my tool boxes, 2 set got relagated to the basement, along with several small work stands for various equipment.
this pic was taken before i got my s-10 blazer project moved in.
it's a pain to work in cold weather, no insulation, crappy lights, and no heat except for a coleman propane fired heater.

now that the wifes car can sit outside, ive got a little room to work, finishing up a straight axle/leaf spring swap in the blazer, and fabricating a new trans xmember and skid plate mounts.

Not my fav, but the only good I have right now. Took this right after I bought the house. This garage is the reason I bought the house.

It measures about 25' x 50'. It's pretty comfy.
My wife, a bunch of friends, and a very talented builder friend named Stanley, and I built it about 4 years ago.
Best accomplishment I ever made next to marrying my wife!
