I just learned of these. I will build my garage this summer/fall and have held off on planning drains or trenches in the floor because I didn't know how to deal with the contaminated run-off. (I am on a septic system and have a well_

My garage will be 36' x 48' and I am now planning two drainage trenches -- since they can be fed into 1x Sand/Oil Interceptor.

I just don't know how to plan for the proper size of it nor where to buy one???

Anyone know about these things?

Thanx Nado -- I did that and fund half a dozen options at Grainger's, and another 63 at Jensen Precast -- that's 70 options :shocking:.
I'm looking for help / guidance / comments to narrow and refine my search.

There are a lot of ways to do this. Do you expect a greasy mess and gobs of dirt? I have a drain and separater made out of a barrel but only sees a little plain water. I absorb any spills and hot pressure wash cars outside.

No Sberry -- not a lot. I'm not gonna wash my car indoors, but the oil, dirt, stuff that comes in with car after a drive in the unexpected rain or snow will be my biggest concern.
I'll likely follow your procedures but I don't want to mix oil/grease with run-off any more than necessary. Did you do a total DIY interceptor set-up?
