Am I the only one who feels obsessed to patch every tiny hole after grinding? :wtf: Every time I go out to my garage I find more holes to patch...it's like popping pimples out there.

That said, if weather holds out i'll be priming by Thursday!!!

After grinding the floor, then pressure washing it I noticed small holes here and there (about an 1/8"). Nothing structurally wrong with the concrete, just appears to be bits of aggregate that came out during the process.

Well they took off my straight jacket today so I could prime my floor. And I'm glad I filled all those holes, because I found all the ones I missed!

It happens man...always! If you ground it, just get it coated and your flake will cover any tiny imperfections. I sweat the small pop outs and I prep about 3 floors a week. My partner paints them and shows me how I am obsessed over nothing!!

When I read that post, I thought it was about grinding welds.:)

However, let me be the first to say "NO" you are not crazy. I mean it's a lot of work, only natural when it's finished that you want to be proud of it. So there I've accomplished what you wanted in the thread title.

wait for it.....wait...

.....here it comes...

HOWEVER, anybody that wants to do all that work and expose a bunch of holes and cover a perfectly good concrete colored floor with paint or epoxy is :eyecrazy:.
If you just leave it alone it will serve you well for decades and will maintain is original concrete luster with only light sweeping and and an occasional open door leaf blower treatment.

Just curious, the thread was posted in the flooring section, why would you think he was talking about welding?

I did that too. I clicked "New Posts" and went down the list of topics. "Crazy"? I'll be the judge of that! :) I didn't look at the rightmost column where it says Flooring.

Lesson learned, I'll check the section from now on before my reply.
