Looking for a swivel base for a Wilton 5” 101043. Thanks!
Do you still have the parts from this vise? I have a 207 that needs a new main nut and handle and through my research I think the 976 is the same vise just a bit newer... both weigh 157lbs are 6” vises with 10-1/2” opening lengths. If someone has a good main nut please let me know, I’m currently looking into making a new handle with peened ball ends so if someone also knows the proper length of a 207 or 976 handle I would appreciate that information as well. ThanksYou may have seen the Parker 976 that i posted in the "Vises" thread. It had the slide welded up. During the cleanup, I can see that it is beginning to crack again. Let me know if you need any parts. It is the later Parker (Union manufacturing). Everything cleaned up quite well the only bad part is the dynamic jaw/slide. Everything else is good....swivel base, lead screw/nut, etc. Hopefully, the parts can help put another vise back into service. These are the only photos (before electrolysis) that I have right now.
Paging Dr Scott!

Hi does anyone have a set of 6'' jaws for a Reed No.106 vise , they are t-style jaws secured by pins , or does anyone know where I can get a set made ? Thanks
Mr. W,
the circular aspect of the fixed base of my 923 is 5 1/4" diam.
If the top of your swivel base is 5 1/4" or slightly smaller,
I could use the entire swivel base assembly.

Does anyone have parts for an Athol 623 1/2? bought one at an auction for 5 bucks. (was rusted and locked up) got it apart, and it is missing the parts on the screw to make the jaw move back. thinking some kind of washer and pin? I can't find any pictures or youtube videos that show what it is supposed to look like. will post some more pictures of the restoration as I get further along.

Hey guys may be along shot but I'm looking for a main screw and screw nut for a Reed 104 1/2. Picked up from a real cool older gentleman who shared history of the vise. The screw and nut are toast but the jaws and body are in real good shape. Would like to get her back up and running.
I just obtained a Columbian 604 vise (marked 604-2 inside the static casting) This is in great shape, no bent handles, little wear from usage over the years but no signs of abuse. The jaws are pinned and not attached with screws.
The only Issue I have are the jaws; they are smooth and no indication that they were ever not this way. Is there any way to fix this other than finding a replacement set?
I currently have this vise apart and getting rid of paint and surface rust. I plan on a repaint once I figure out what to do about the jaws.
You are probably right about the smooth jaws. Most of the covers that I have found so far are made to compensate for jaws with rough teeth. (Aluminum, brass, etc.). Probably not much available to do the reverse. I will live with this for a while with smooth jaws and see how it works.I would leave them smooth. I have found more often than not I am covering the teeth on my jaws. It just depends on what your are holding. I also like them because they are less common. You could try to hand file teeth in but that would probably be very difficult on hardened steel jaws.
No, there are not. They are pinned in much like a Parker. I like the vise and If I have a need for a toothed jaw I could use my old Columbian.RW, are the jaws by chance reversible? some makes/models were for smooth and toothed...
Well I picked up a Columbian 504M vise with a broken leadscrew. Due to the handle being in great shape it does not look to be over torqued. The nut also looks fine. But the castings have been beat on a bit.
So I am looking for a replacement screw assembly (7/8" diameter thread, 4 acme threads per inch). So if you have one, please let me know. Without a handle is fine.
Thanks
