Talked to the Napa guy today. He said Homak builds these to order, so there aren't any in stock anywhere. It will take about a month to get 'em built, and another week to ship. Think I'm going to pull the trigger.

EDIT: Bought 'em today - $3534 with tax and delivery. Hope it doesn't take forever for them to get here.

Wanna see this setup once delivered and installed. Good for you!

Thanks.

I called Homak today. They don't have any in stock right now (am I the only one who thinks it's odd that they put them on sale when none are available?) but expect to have some by the end of the month.

Is homak going to let you purchase now at the sale price or do you have to wait until stock becomes available?

Alright, all. Received my power strip from Bench Depot today. Looks like a pretty good match to me, under shop (fluorescent) lighting. Check it out - same price as standard light blue and gray powder coating.

Looks nice. How 'bout some more pics of your drawer organization?

What was the final cost of that with the options?

Suppose I would need to dig up my receipt.
About $145 with the two USB chargers and shipping to my door. Looking back, I wonder if black (gloss or otherwise) would have been better. I don't think black was a standard powder coat option, however. Now I just need some time to get it installed.

Somewhat off topic from the toolbox discussion - Who has ideas for a freestanding shelving unit which is shallow, but can sit on the top of the box? I'd like to have a better option for mounting some LED strip lights. Was thinking of a chrome wire shelving unit, with possibly two shelves. I have emailed Homak to determine the cost to add the upper cabinet and backwall support, but I expect that will be more than I'd like to pay.

I was planning to get some sheet metal and bend it up for a cover with a light and a shallow half shelf. Have not done it yet, but still plan to try. It will have some hooks on one side and a half shelf. I wanted to avoid getting an upper cabinet as I like the SS top counter space.

Should I get one of these over the HF 72"?

Yes.

To those that have pulled the slides/rails, any tips? I looked quick the other morning and I see the tabs on the drawers themselves but two are up/down and one is left/right so you at a quick glance I didnt see them coming off easily. Same with the ones inside the box?

Yarpo, pretty easy IMHO. With drawer empty and removed. Pop front out, use something to tap clip down from inside of drawer, pull drawer rail forward.
Side rails in box are similar. Search my name in this thread I posted images of the rail install.

I haven’t stopped in much lately but I must say I didn’t expect my thread to take off like this!

Would you paint it?
Same color mine was when I got it. Looking back I might have gone black instead of blue spray bomb but not sure. Maybe black enamel would be closer to the drawer handles in color than regular gloss spray. Been moving stuff around in prep or fixing my garage floor so I haven't seen the power strip in about 2 weeks. ha

Still waiting. Homak said they got in top/bottom box combo's but separate stuff (I ordered two bottom boxes) hasn't come in yet. Supposed to arrive by 5 May, then a few more weeks to get to me.

Ok, apparently Homak has my boxes. Hope they get 'em shipped out in the next few days.

My pair of 72" boxes showed up today. Finally. Took about 6 weeks from date of purchase. No damage in shipping. Quality, fit, and finish are very nice. I'm happy. Well, except for the fact that they're both FULL already! I expected to have some extra room given the size difference between these and my old Craftsman Professional top and bottom box, but that wasn't the case.
