So, it's finally time to get a bigger compressor. My lil ancient 1.5hp 15gallon craftsman just isn't cutting it anymore.
So, I'm looking at a 60gallon stationary or possibly a piggy back 2 30gallons?
Mainly I run all electric Milwaukee stuff for my power tools. But I'm in the middle of a restoration of a 37 Plymouth. I need to occassionaly spray HVLP for primer, and run some small die grinders/small angle grinders.
For the 60gallons I'm torn between 2 models I can afford. One is a single stage, the other is a two stage. The Single stage offers better CFM at 40psi (thinking of HVLP), vs the Two stage.

Then the thought came to me, maybe I could run 2 30gallons to double the CFM? Would that work as well? Or am I just asking for trouble here.
Ultimately, I would of rather had the new Eastwood Scroll compressor, but I just can't swing almost 2grand on a comp right now.
Any thoughts???? Why would the single stage have a higher cfm than the two stage? Would the two stage be better than the single?
