I built this many years ago out of scrap lumber and thought I'd share it. Simply attaches to a Milwaukee hand truck with a couple of 1-hole conduit straps and can easily be removed for storage. The peanut containers are a recent addition and happen to have a nice friction fit. We use EMT around here, so bender storage is a must.

Couple ideas - Use the clothespin type spring clamps to prevent unused rolls from turning making rat nest...

Reel to reel or reel to wood side as appropriate.

concrete block on axle to reduce forward tipping.

Good suggestion on the clips. Binder clips would work nice. Usually I tuck away the ends of the unused reels in the reel holes. The rat's nests you see are just some extra used pieces I left on there. I need to pull it off and recycle it.

Surprisingly, it's less prone to tipping over than you would think. The wife has never mentioned it tipping, but she pulls a few feet off the spools as I pull the fish tape. Of course, if I didn't have a helper, a counterweight would work best.

If you put the wire reels with one with the wire coming off the top next to one with the wire coming of the bottom of the reel it will prevent overruns like in the first photo.

True, but will be harder to pull off reels.

Would have been best to leave a bit o airspace between the reels so they don't rub and snag on each other.

But then it can be helpfull to have a bit of friction brake to prevent the overuns.

Those aren't over-runs, just old wire I pulled out and stashed there temporarily. Never time to do it right the first time, always time to do it over.
It is a pain to rewind the extra. I should redesign it so I can lock the spools to the axle (1/2 EMT) and put a crank on the end of the axle.
