Just outside of the shop, but I pulled a LOT of weeds. Filled up the green barrel, and still looks like I’ve done nothing....

I hate doing this 1 barrel at a time... I SHOULD finish the motor on my truck so I can load it all up, and take it to the dump... but as it is, I barely have time to do yardwork once a week...

What kind of project is this?

Two different projects, the drum is for burning out a stump or stumps at my parents.

The cylinder is for a large wind gong or chime.

Used to hate tire changes. I do it rarely and only on off-street vehicles but I also hate schlepping tires and rims to local guy and wasting his time to put on tractor tires etc.

The scrapyard harbor freight holder made it marginally better but my old tire spoons range from frustrating to lethal.

After breaking one putting in a tube, I sprung for a ken-tool tire iron. What took 20 min and a lot of cussing took 1 minute

Last piece of the pool cover cover is sanded and sealed / stained. Will get it installed this evening when I have some help to move it.

Getting tired of not having a truck, so after I finished other things, I decided to work on the motor for the ‘68. I want to get the timing chain and water pump on, then I can flip it over and work on the oil pan. The oil pan has to be paint stripped as well, and then painted after some work on the rail.

Last night starter a re-hab project on a Samurai for the youngest daughter. Her Idea and she's going to be doing as much as I can get her/let her do. Set her up (shop coat, rubber gloves, Simple green and brushes, scrapers) and she is cleaning the vehicle, (been parked about 18 years) and more importantly, the long block engine that I hope has decent compression. She been at it for two evenings (still at it tonight)

She has the oil pan off so we can rinse any dead bugs out of the inside of the block (Found a dead bug as soon as the pan came off...)

Flat tire on my mower. 9.5L-14, obviously not a lawn mower. Dismounted, found the hole, patched the tube, then ripped the valve stem re-mounting it.

Well ****, looks like a nice clean welded rim, I have a tubeless valve stem, let's try it. If it doesn't work I am out one stem and some bead seal. It was holding air with no bubbles when I left, morning will tell if I was successful.

Moved the flip car to behind the house, but still on soma sort of concrete. That way I can still move a cherry picker around if I decide to swap motors. I didn’t want to shove it back there, but it was taking up the space where I work on cars.

Now I can push my ‘68 in and out the motor/trans back in....

Pulled out the old bench seat from my 1989 Toyota pickup and replaced with a bench seat from a Dodge minivan, and then promptly picked up two captain's chairs from a Chrysler Town and Country minivan, which I finished installing today. I'm a teacher, so I have summers off, but I work construction and do fabrication side work during the summers for extra income. When doing construction, I typically drive 1.5-3 hours each way, so my back is happy for this upgrade.

And welded the stub for this lamp base back on. Apparently it's a $2-4k French lamp, but it appears it was MIG welded with a 110v welder, and rattle can painted. There's tons of overspray on the bottom. A few minutes with the angle grinder, TIG welder, and some clear coat, and it's stronger than ever. Gotta love Hollywood producers thinking something is quality because it's foreign.

More camp box detail work - Finished the maple replacement top door, and made a new spare mantle holder and put that on the lantern/fuel side door in the gap the lantern globe space leaves. This box (and its contents) keeps evolving...

Started charging a battery that has been sitting on the daughters project zuk for ages. I'm surprised its taking ANY charge, but its made it to almost 9 volts so far...

Not much for the last couple of weeks. Teenage knee injury has re-surfaced and immobilized me. I am now mobile, but kneeling to do any jobs strikes fear in my heart. Can't even mow the lawn for fear of knee locking up in uneven grass.

I have my snowmobile trailer deck to finish - can't get under it right now. I have a NIB garden trailer from Princess Auto to build - can't get down on the floor.

I did go visit the Dodge dealer to see about upgrading my 2015 Ram to a 2019 (they called asking to buy mine back). They did not have what I needed at the price the Minister of Finance provided so I walked. We'll see if the sales guy finds something to lure me back in. For now, I'll treat the 2015 to a full inside/outside wash since she overheard me offering to trade her in

Worked on the lawnmower. I recently replaced some worn out drive wheel bearings and had also replaced the rubber driven wheel. Everything went well. Snappers are simple machines. When I was mowing Friday I noticed the rubber driven wheel was slipping on the drive disc. Yesterday I picked up a new compression spring and swapped it out. No change. Just for kicks, I compared the old rubber driven wheel to the new one. The rubber on the new one seemed like it was of a harder composition and was physically less "sticky". I put the old one back on and now the mower will just about tow me across the yard. I'm not sure if it's worth the $8.00 to send it back for a refund...

I took all of the drawers out of a new-to-me Lista cabinet, I bought yesterday.
I removd about 500 grams of swarf and dust. The next task was installing casters under the cabinet. I had help from my daughter and we were done in 30 minutes.

Quite a bit... after a visit from an unsavory sort of character earlier in the week, I opted to hurry up and install some blinds and window film. The blinds were easy but the window film ended up in the trash. However, I also finally got around to installing a sink and vanity in the garage bathroom, as well as some finishing items. A shelf, a new light, and some appropriate Land Rover posters and reading material should finish it off by week's end.

Helped my son replace the crank position sensor in his AWD E90 BMW.

For those of you who know what that entails, well, you'll know why I went past the Macallan 12 in favor of a bit of the Macallan 21 this evening.

I was going to say; I've done the crank position sensor on a Jeep Cherokee XJ... I can't imagine the PITA factor that comes with an E90!
