2' LED high bays vs. UFO high bays?

I built a 56' x 56' shop with 16' ceiling height. White painted walls and soon to be installed white metal ceiling. I had a lighting layout done by RAB lighting, and using 16 of their 2' 125 watt LED high bays (4 rows of 4) gave even lighting of 70-90+ fc throughout the shop. There was a little price shock of using the RAB lights though, so I'm looking at using similar Hyperikon LED high bays instead. Hyperikon also makes a round high bay UFO LED light in similar wattage. They would be easier to install (1 point of contact), and are slightly cheaper. Only thing that somewhat concerns me is with a 16' ceiling, if I will have bright spots and not so bright spots with the round UFO lights. Anybody have experience with this?

I bought the HYPERIKON fluorescent tube replacements on Amazon.ca. These lights may be the best money I have ever spent. The shop lighting is so improved, it is difficult for me to describe. I can 100% recommend these lights on the easy on installation and improved light. For me not having the florescent flicker is worth a lot.
The installation instructions are easy to follow.
For me, disposing of the florescent ballasts was the biggest bother. The local city transfer/recycling station was making it difficult. I threatened to put one ballast a week into the garbage, something I would never do. Suddenly the city became helpful and I was able to get a recycler to take the ballasts for free. Some ballasts have PCB and this must be identified. The information is on the internet.

One of the neighbours suggested that my shop ceiling was too high at 10 feet. (3.5 meters) He suggested it would take the light too long to reach the floor. I told him that light travels at 186.000 miles per second (299338 kilometers/second). I have the time to wait. After being his neighbour for over 40 years, I have a list of his off-leash monents.

When you even mention UFO lights, we pretty much know you are doing it wrong. That is unless you have 25'+ mounting heights and don't need much working light. They are made for low working light levels and very high mounting heights. They wouldn't even use them in a Lowes or Home Depot as they are for low light level uses in really big and tall warehouses.
Of course 90% of the people on here are doing it wrong. There are some really good people on here willing to help you do it well. Ask "what do you suggest" not "how about his?"

If you get a layout done, like the one that RAB did for you, you will be able to see the spacing of the UFO's and how they cover your area. There is nothing magically different about a round beam vs. a rectangular beam. When they are spaced correctly, either will be fine.
That particular UFO, however, I would pass on. It has the power source directly above the LED array, right where all the heat is. Better UFO's have a space between them for air to pass through and help remove the heat.
Also, you can single point mount the rectangular highbays as well. It's just really hard to keep them oriented and level when you do.
Good luck,
CD

Guess I should give an update, as I posted the question back in July. I ended up going with Lithonia High Bay LED 137 watt (18000 lumen) rectangular lights. Using the lighting layout RAB had provided. Couldn’t be happier with the light level and coverage. Even though they were a little more expensive, I went with the Lithonia high bays over the Hyperikon high bays due to the 100,000 hour L70 rating vs 50,000 of the Hyperikons. The LED drivers in the Lithonias are Phillips. Hyperikon couldn’t tell me who makes their drivers.

That should be an improvement over the Hyperikon or RAB high bays and vastly better than the UFO.
