I am finishing my build and have a wall I want to mount about 16' of workbench. I want to use folding wall mount brackets so I can fold it down when not in use. This area will be used for cutting long material with a chop saw and never see a lot of weight.

I am looking at these types of brackets on Amazon and wondered if anyone had suggestions / experience

Quick Bench folding mounted workbench 20x48, I found this on Amazon. It is great and very sturdy!. My handyman who installed it was very impressed. Sorry I don't know how to copy a link. But if you Google that description and Amazon it will come up. Heavy duty locking brackets hold up to 500 pounds. The same type of brackets that you posted the link to it is $120. It is a great deal. Comes in different finishes. I love it!

You can have a regular door hinge make a fold down bench no problem.
Make 3 fold out legs bolted through front timber that swing up behind the front timber.
I done one like this for Sisters garage so had decent bench when over doing any work for her.
can hold lot of weight and if make legs with locking support very stable/safe, some inbuilt ballast from material choices helps it feel solid and proper usable .
cheap and simple.

Those locking brackets are pain use when want more than 2, you got try release each locking lever on each one without relocking one already released .

I built a 24 foot bench to cut material like the OP wants to do. I made it in 3 - 8 ft section and used cheap Home Depot hinges. It looks like the one Outlander built and the 2 x 4 legs are mounted at the top with a carriage bolt. They swing up inside when the bench is folded to the wall. Works like a charm

I had one of the 3/4” plywood banquet tables with the folding legs. Mounted it to the wall with door hinges. When not being used fold up table and legs and it was out of the way. Funny thing it was never folded up much as it always had stuff on it or was being used to actually work on.:lol_hitti

I used that same pair of brackets to make a folding seat in my hallway. It works perfectly for putting on my shoes or boots, no more kneeling on the floor.
Folds up out of the way, takes up little wall space.

These photos from a previous GJ thread on the same subject.

I still like the idea of the table folding down. That way it hides the hardware and the possibility of the table coming down onto my '55 pickup (not to mention my grand daughters or dogs) is eliminated. YMMV

^^^^I did the same thing but left the legs in the normal position. Guess it boils down to if you ever want to sit at your moveable bench and have leg room or want to have storage place against the wall.

Had a fold down bench at the old shop. Gate hinges on the wall, "bench" was half a king water bed base, legs were cut 2x4s on hinges with gate hooks. Lift legs up, engage gate hooks, release bench from wall (also a gate hook) and lower, instant bench. Took up 4" wall space when folded up.

Have you considered a "Gate Leg" design for your bench? with a screw adjustable foot and a nub and socket for the leg to lock into this will be pretty solid use the hinges on the bottom and while stored the bench can't fall as it will already be down. Bend over at one end and pick up the bench and swing in the first leg. walk to the other end repeat, screw in/folding leg(s) as needed in the center. I plan on an 8' one in my garage [2 end gates only I hope]. Harry Best pic I could find in my exhaustive/extensive 5 second search:

Years ago a friend made a work bench like this simple drawing. 3/4" plywood top, a 2"x2" strip screwed to the front underneath. At back a 2"x4" screwed underneath on it's edge. Two 2"x4" legs were cut correct length so top was level, and bevel cut so it fit as shown. Two legs were down about 45 degrees angle, incredibly strong since pressure was at wall/floor corner. Back 2"x4" lag bolted to wall. Great since no legs were in the way.
It would be easy to incorporate this idea into a folding bench using large hinges at back, legs wouldn't have to be attached.415ebd16f3c24a8363b5b51b85255033.jpg79128caf8ffe51129bf85c695c8c0448.jpg

Lol, if I had a fold up bench it would always be down and loaded, folding would be a forgotten plan.
