40x60 light fixtures

So I have been perusing the various light stickies for....hours? days now?

I used the 3-D visual tool to get an idea on the lighting necessary for what will initially be my unfinished detached shop.

Below is the initial drawing but I have since cut this back to 3 rows of 6 instead of 4 rows fixtures as each one will roughly output 18k lumens.

What I want to confirm before spending $2k on lights is that my selection is not complete trash. Cost is always a factor but so too is longevity. I don't require anything fancy in my set up but do want adequate lighting. Based on the visual tool this should provide 97fc.

If I am making a mistake feel free to point me in the right direction. I know this might not be the "best" solution, but so long as it is not a terrible one I might be okay unless there is something in a similar budget that would provide comparable results.

I have 11 of the lights you are inquiring about in my 30x60 shop mounted at 13 ft high and they are working very well for me. Most people who come over comment about how bright it is in the shop but I feel that it could be a bit brighter and not be to excessive. I can post some pics if your interested.

Thanks! That is helpful to know! With only 10' more width and 7 more lights, I think my lighting plan may be adequate until I get all moved in and can determine if I need anything tweaked just a little.

97fc is a good target, so if you are reaching that with 3 rows, you're good to go. The only suggestion that I have is to try to find a similar fixture from a more reputable manufacturer. Commercial Electric is the HD house brand and is pretty low quality. You can try prolighting.com, or several other sites.

Excuse the mess. Here is a pic from the top of the mezzanine. One row of 6 and one of 5( did not put one over the mezzanine area) I have no sky lights or windows so that picture is 100 percent lights. They are not in the optimal locations because the roof trusses are on 5ft centers and just mounting the lights to them was convenient.
