My compressor finally gave out and I'm in the market for a new one. I've been researching compressors and for my needs i require a 5hp 60 gal compressor with at least 14cfm @ 90psi. I've narrowed my choices down to the Quincy QT-54, the industrial Air iv5076055 and the Bel Aire 216v. Im inclined to go with the industrial air because its low RPM pump speed which in my eyes will make it last longer, create less noise and heat. But cant really find any third party reviews on the unit. can anyone chime in or even add another recommendation? i would appreciate it

Of the three the industrial Air. Personal preference is Champion. That particular model of Quincy is a loser. Their higher end stuff is still good but their lower end stuff completely ***** at this point in time.

Posting your location could help you find local deals, through members here. My friend who owns a compressor repair sales and service shop has a used one of these (below) available now. I bought a similar one from him this year. It's an earlier model, but essentially the same thing. With shipping, it might be available for your price range. But where are you?

The 735 may be above your $1500 limit, but it's made in Michigan. New, about $2,500.
17.3 CFM @175 psi
5 HP
845 pump rpm

I’ve never heard of these. Do you have a full price list?

I don’t trust anything from harbor freight. Maybe with the exception of their aluminum floor jack

You will serve yourself well if you read my links above.

This particular HF unit has a better pump than any of your sub $1400 choices you posted, and same quality motor and tank.

The majority of pumps on sub 1500$ comps today are Indian and chinese.

That includes that price level of curent IR, Quincy, and other historic names.

A small % have pumps by ABAC... like the HF and IIRC the belaire.

The ONLY downgrade is it is 60 gallon, not 80.
