Finally getting my Garage build going after 2 years of planning.

Doing all 2 X 6 Walls with engineered beams and lumber.

Did an 8 in thick slab with 6200 psi concrete with the fiber mesh mix in it and wiring in the floor.
I am a Master Electrician and and doing the build myself.

I plan on putting in a 4 post lift in one bay.

Hopefully i will have the roof on next week and finishing the trim.
I did all AZEK trim
Going to do the lift master screwjack openers with the high bay tracks.

Still debating to do an EPOXY floor or race deck.
I currently have a 2 car garage and i did the HOME depot epoxy myself and has held up OK for 5 years.

I am going to turn my old garage into a playroom once i get the new one done( so i can move the vette into its new home)
I am attaching the garage with a breezeway to the house as well.

Here are some pics

Looks great! Those transom windows above the door and the high windows along the back wall are excellent ideas for adding tons of style and light without taking up too much space, or letting anyone see inside easily.

Are you going to modify the staircase coming from your back deck? Visually it looks like you walk down the stairs and right into the wall, but from the pictures it looks as though the wall starts just beyond where the old sidewalk was.

Yes
I am tying in the garage to the house with a 10 ft X 8 ft open breezway / Hip roof.
Also when i remove the 2 old garage doors they will become a single door in one bay and a 2 bay window in the other.
Then i am goinng to relocate the back deck stairs 90 degrees :)

I have my work cut out for me
Hope to be done by the summer !

Very impressive - I will go with the transom windows on the back wall - very nice touch. What is your roof pitch?

I have been known to mess with Vettes once in while also;)

Nice, very similar to my 28x38 with 3 big singles.

I like the slightly larger soffit overhang and also like the windows over the doors instead of in the doors like normally done.. I wish sometimes I had more natural light in my garage.

What's your finished ceiling height going to be? Looks to be about 10'-11', I recently installed a 4 post in my place with a 12' and now wish it was even higher

Also just out of curiosity how tall are those TJI's used for the second floor?

Oh, and I wanted that grass you destroyed!:)

I only wish I will get my lawn to look that good some day.. I've been working on it for 2 years and it's only slightly decent. got any secrets?

Very Nice garage build from one vette owner to another. I'm hoping to start my 30 x 75 garage connected by a breezeway, too, later this year. If I may ask did you think about installing any drains in the floor, so you could wash your vehicles inside?

On another note....very/very nice wide-body build, too. If I may ask, again, where did you get your front fiberglass fenders? How was the quality? I have a new GS and I'm seriously looking at swapping out the GS fenders for regular looking Z06 fenders. Thanks.

Very nice, but may I ask why the 3 doors and not one bigger and one standard? Also, do you think 28 is deep enough? I'm in the planning stages and thinking 35 or more, if I can get it passed the wife ;-)

I really like the transom windows above the doors!! can you provide some more detail on how you did the framing?

Where did you buy the transom windows from? Hom much were they?

Nice looking garage!
