I havent used the 8' lights but I have the frosted lens 4' version that I mounted under the loft in my back shed. I am not sure I would trust the quality to be the main light source in my building as they are quite cheaply made but for something I will only turn on a few times a month most likely they are very cheap option. Also if you do decide to go forward with them you may look at the 4' as I believe you could by 2 of them for less than 1 of the 8' and they will connect end to end to make essentially the same light.

These are the ones I am using, i bought them for under $50 an eight pack during prime days.

There is an endless stream of cheap trash on Amazon. Don't ask "what do you think of this?" because 99% of it is cheap chinese trash just waiting for a ***** buyer. Don't be that ***** buyer. Instead, ask for suggestions from people and 10% of them will actually have an intelligent suggestion.

I'm still shopping LED shop lights for my 30x40x12' with scissor trusses 4' OC.
I came across these on Amazon - anyone have experience with them? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RKZFD5Z/?tag=atomicindus08-20
I'm sorry, but he didn't ask your opinion, he asked if you had any experience with them.

Well, have you?

Additionally, your statement that only 10% of us can offer an "intelligent suggestion" shows you don't think very highly of this BBS.

Other than that, I have nothing to add because I'm part of the 90%.

Cheap LEDs are pretty much the same. None really last. Sometimes they just flat out die but most of the time they keep working but get dimmer and dimmer the more hours you put on them. They overdrive small (cheap) diodes to get lots of lumens and don't provide adequate cooling.

Good LEDs will take 50,000-100,000+ hours for it to become noticable. Some of the off brand ones it becomes noticable after just a few thousand hours.

70% light output is considered end of life for an LED, even if it still works.

we put in a 4' Lithonia panel in the kitchen in 2014. It is on a lot and works well. The heat from a T8 florescent that was there for 22 years cooked the drywall above it so we went with something cooler when we redid the ceilings. Everything else is florescent with an electronic ballast rather than magnetic which is what makes the most heat. Look up the energy consumption before you commit. Some LEDs use almost as much energy as an electronic ballast florescent.
