Going to be running 2" conduit through my cellar wall and down below the existing dirt floor. Tried to call the inspector 3 times and not getting an answer so i'm turning to you guys. I know outside it has to be buried 18" but in a basement what are the requirements and good practices?
If there is no concrete does it also have to be 18"?
If it is under concrete is there a requirement for how much needs to be over it? I can't seem to find a requirement for this so if correct is there a good practice to keep it from cracking IF i'm only pouring 4x4 foot sections over the concrete? In other words if i do 3 inches and don't want it to crack over the 1" deep pipe should i have rebar opposite the run of conduit?
Getting my oil tank replaced and i have to pour a pad this week for the new one which will cover the garage proposed conduit.
