Hyperikon® LED T5 Integrated

I ended up putting 20 of these in my 400sqft metalwork shop. Pretty happy with them about 1 month in. (more before & after photos on my metalshop page)

So my impressions of this lighting solution. First off, it's about 140 lumens/sqft. Bright yes, but I'm at that point in life where my eyesight is soon to start getting worse, and I didn't want to have to redo this. It's bright, but comfortable.

With 20 fixtures spread around the ceiling, even thought this is a relatively low ceiling shop the diffusion is excellent. There is no glare. The only spot where more light may be needed is over the work bench, but due to the irregular shape of the shop in that area it means there isn't one directly overhead. I plan on installing another light there once I've build my cabinets.

The mounts on these lights are pretty cheesy. But they work pretty well actually. All in all that was the most unimpressive part of these fixtures, and they worked quite well in the end. I absolutely recommend these lights thus far, though they've been installed for less than a month now.

9 months into living with these lights and they have been absolutely perfect! I can't say anything bad about them, and every time I walk into my shop and turn on the lights I am very, very impressed. Best workshop upgrade yet!

I just upgraded most of my fixtures in my house to the Hyperikon F40T12 replacements. I have installed over 50 of them so far and love them. You do have to rewire the fixture and eliminate the ballast, but was able to do all the wiring from one end of the fixtures. Instant light and quite bright compared to the old bulbs. Out of three cases of 24 I have had one broken bulb,(end off in the box, not damaged) and called them and they refunded it the same day I called them.. I did ask them to send me more stickers for the fixtures, that show they have been modified, So they do not work with standard bulbs. The boxes did not come with enough stickers for all of them. The bulb is Hyperselect T8 Glass Led Part number 842200641 24 pack for about $135 on Amazon.

I put T5-HO's in my shop a few years ago (because the temps can get low and the T5's fire off better in low temps) and loved them... the light improvement over the T12's/T8's were amazing.

Then had bad tubes in one fixture, and decided to try LEDs in it... Direct replacements...

WOW! My light in there is like night and day (again). If they work well this winter, may swap all of them out.

I bought a bunch of the hyperikon led flood lights for my house as well as customers houses for tree lights 50 plus feet up.

I have been dreading having to replace any of them because of their height and so far in 2 years not one has gone bad.

One of my customers has had them on continuously for 6 months. It is switched but I am putting them on a smart hub circuit for him and I just havent had the time to get to it.

Anyway I agree and strongly recommend hyperikon.

The Hyperikon lamps are great. I've put a bunch in our under/over-counter kitchen fluorescent fixtures. No more ballasts!!
