BlueChip - Have to dig through the Q&A just to get lumen output = 4000 Lumens. At 42W, that's 95L/W = poor efficiency for an LED fixture. If you're in Old Lyme CT, then get on Ocean State Job lots email list. I picked up 6 of these Maxlite fixtures (link) there @ $15 ea. These types of fixtures are the bottom of the quality barrel, but at $15 I'd expect nothing more.

If you want something right now, I see a $20 4000 lumen fixture on pg.20 of the Ocean State flyer (link). Naturally, you'll have to actually go to the store to get any useful info., But it's likely no worse than the ones you linked to. (now there's a stunning endorsement)

Note: I purchased the Maxlites linked above for storage sheds. They'll work for a garage, but I'd go a little higher quality like the 4ft 2-lamp strip light housing and retrofit bulbs on post 1 of the best light fixture sticky (link in sig below)

Noname fixtures from China such as these rarely carry the proper listing (from a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab) to be installed in the US as required by the NEC.
You might as well order your fixtures from Alibaba as Amazon.

I bought that exact package. They work fantastic. I have been using them for about a month. All 10 worked perfect.

I have others that I have had several years that have been perfect as well.

Update: I actually bought these. Slightly different. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0748YTDMK/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Curious about those....They state integrated LED tubes which usually means non replaceable, but the image shows them off the fixture and having the two end prongs. Which are yours?

That image is wrong. The seller responds to the same question in the Q&A section stating lamps are not replaceable.

Fixture I linked in prior post above is now $16 (link) and apparently their regular price for the Maxlite fixture is $15 now on sale for $12 (link)(and out of stock)

i recently went with this 12pack from amazon

Sunco Lighting 12 Pack Industrial LED Shop Light, 4 FT, Linkable Integrated Fixture, 40W=260W, 5000K Daylight, 4000 LM, Surface + Suspension Mount, Pull Chain, Utility Light, Garage- Energy Star

i also was trying to stay on a low budget, I used all 12 in a 30x40 shop with 10ceilings, I went with a placing pic that PLATONIC SOLID had scetch up for someone else... the lighting inside is incredible with zero dark spaces on walls.

I have 10 of the super cheap chinese junk fixtures in my garage attic and basement. Of the 10, 2 did not work on arrival and had to be replaced. With that kind of quality control, I don’t have much confidence in the long term. I put much higher quality lights on my main floor and 2nd floor. Hopefully, what the OP bought will get him by for a while. And maybe they will last years.

I'm also looking to light up a 30x40 but with 13' ceilings.. What is the spacing for yours? did you put all 12 on 1 switch to light up the entire shop at once or did you use multiple switches?

I just installed a 16 pack from Sunco that was also purchased off amazon and I have another 16 coming tomorrow that will be installed this weekend. Pretty nice light output for the price. My shop is a 50'x80' with 16' ceilings and I installed 4 on every other truss, which equates to 4' apart and they definitely get the job done for almost have the price of others posted in the lighting thread. I will have 24 40 watt lights, up to 10 10 watt recessed can lights and 3 25 watt gooseneck lights on one circuit. Total of 1135 watts which is well under the 1440 recommended max for my 14/2 wire and 15 amp breaker. You can do multiple switches but that's just for preference.

Just moved into a new home a few months back and the workshop was randomly lit with various old florescent fixtures. I pulled those down and replaced with two packs of these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PF5MKWC/?tag=atomicindus08-20

They are 8 packs and plenty bright on my 8.5ft ceiling and can't beat the price.

I intentionally left the garage door area with out light because there is no clearance when the door is up. I'm going to work out something else for that space and I'm adding some task lighting on both workbenches.

I know I will replace them with better lighting but for now I just need the shop functional so it can be used while we renovate the home.

Justherbie - Do you like the 6500K CCT? That's a lot of concrete.

OT: Is there another garage on top of this space?

I do like the 6500K actually. I wasn't sure I would but the light is better in person than the photos suggest and all the light bouncing off the ceiling gives a fair bit of indirect light as well. I'm thinking I might paint the ceiling white to enhance this effect further. I know the fixtures are likely junk and I'm going to replace them in the end but I will likely stick with the 6500K.

It is all concrete and steel beams.

There is a large carport on top. The man that built the house was an industrial architect. He designed the house and the whole thing is framed in huge steel beams. This was definitely one of the reasons I chose to buy this place.

Here are a few photos of the house.

Justherbie - Wow! That place is stunning! Not sure how you keep toddlers from falling down to the lower floor seen in pic 2, but who cares, the design rules.

Platonic Solid - Thank you! The cantilevered dining room and the view down to the lower level was one of the selling points for us. As for toddlers, I don't have those anymore!
