Yup i am a dodge man thru and thru but this guy that use to be on here was a true dewalt junkie. When they came out with the Dewalt tool boxes at HD he bought 3 of them. The tough cases you guessed it he must of had 40 of those in all the sizes. Havent seen him on here in quite a while nice guy but Dewalt thru and thru lol

Today I bought this pipe wrench. I have the so-called 1" and 2" (respectively) of the so-called Swedish model in my toolbox from before, but I thought I'd be good to have one of the so-called American model as well. One thing I can say already is that it feels rock solid, very sturdy. Haven't got to weight it yet, but it's mos def heavier than any of my two previous pipe wrenches. I'll mainly use it for rounded bolt / nut heads, since I don't do much plumbing.

You will love those plier (the PZ-58) ,
I bought the Vamplier version of the PZ-58 (same tool made by Engineer),
I love/hate them tho.

Pliers are perfect, it is the handles dont put them in the dirt, or you will find them hard to clean, all those "high tech" little traces are awful... lol

I kept mine clean, but one of my mechanic friends get the handle details full of **** ...

I got the big pack of these, by far the best for working on rusty cars. Take a solid beating.

In the advertising for them they say to use them as a chisel all you want.

I have to make a new tail pan/ lower trunk area on my '37 and decided to treat myself to a couple new toys. Martin 1024 surfacing spoon, and while I was ordering that on TM/ Tinman Tech, grabbed one of their Spring Steel slappers "Use it to shrink, contour, and planish (smooth) the panel without leaving rough marks to clean up.".

My first purchase off a Snap on van. 196ANCFG pliers. I contacted the driver via facebook. He was very friendly and happy for me to meet up with him during his rounds.

Cutters don't come together so they don't cut very well. Not sure weather to file them a bit or exchange them.

This is the reason, I feel, some GJers and other homegamers get pushback or don't get serviced anymore by the truck. Not worth the hassle, and while I'm not saying that's right, I understand.

They don't cut wire at all unfortunately. Are you saying that you would just bin them? Bit patronising btw. I'm a technician so need tools that function to make a living.

Edit...... 2 mins with a file and they now work ok. The cutters are a design that I have not seen before. One side has an edge as expected but the other side is a flat surface. Like a knife on a chopping board rather than two knives coming together.

Yeah those pliers are more of a combination style so it’s not the best at one thing more “good” at a couple. If you need pliers just for cutting Snap On has some great diagonal cutters, especially the 388ACF super beefy.

I haven't played with it as it's too far out from the holidays but, with the corkscrew and mini bottle opener, it might be more of a novelty set this year. The T handle driver and stubby bit holder are very useful as are the bits, and the 8, 10, & 13 mm sockets are always nice to have.

Snap-on cutters and pliers in general...I am hardly impressed by any of them, each and every time I play around with them on the truck.
Anvil type cutters have been around for a quite some time, even in some precision sized cutters too.
