I posted the bottom box I just scored at a yard sale for $20 in the "New Tool Arrivals", but here it is again just for reference:

I decided to use the top 3 drawers to spread out some of my Xcelite collection. I know we have some Xcelite fans (I can smell your collections from here!). I figured I'd show off some of my collection. Tools always looks so nice when you first lay them out, in a new box lol.

Top drawer- Screwdrivers. Philips on the right, flat on the left. The keen observer might note a couple Vaco's in there. And the Sunflag JIS set in the top right.

2nd drawer- Hex, Torx, Cutch and Robertson/Scrulox drivers. Again, a couple Vaco's, and 2 full Bondhus sets. I have the Bondhus in the ball-tip drivers, and Xcelite in the flat-tip. The Bondhus set is actually more comprehensive than the Xcelite ball-tip set, so that's why I have it instead. The red case is an offset/ratchet screwdriver set.

3rd drawer- Nut drivers. Typical hollow shaft sets, plus the rare stubbies and long-reach drivers. And the little green box is the hard-to-find ratchet/socket set.

Nice! I have never owned one of the attache case sets. I used to have a ton more xcelite items, but I downsized. Here's a couple pics of some of the interesting sets I sold in the past:

The mini/midget/compact sets:

And the 99 sets (one pic with their original cases, and one pic with the blades in plastic bit holders that made them lay nice in drawers):

And the 25-Series sets. Many people know about the reversible 25-series, and maybe the "600 multi-tool" (the red driver in the pic), but many people don't realize the bits are the same size and are interchangeable. And they also made a hollow-shaft nutdriver set of the same bit size too (mine was in rough shape, but it was very hard to find, so I didn't care):

Man 'o man, nice spread! :shocking:

I think you need to contact Xcelite and become one of their spokespersons.

Seek help.

Then again, I’m constantly pushing the limit between hobby and mental illness.

Actually, gorgeous collection.

Nice collection you got there!

I got a yellow box of xcelite nut driver and that's all I plan to have with those stinky handles. I usually overlook them when at estate sales and flea markets due to the smell.

I have an xcelite set somewhere in my stuff that is in a metal box. It was my Dad's, it has to be at least 60 years old.

Thanks guys. I know many of you have awesome collections of one thing or another, and I just figured I'd show off my obsession a little. So much of what Xcelite sold was only available one piece at a time, it's tough to put together a complete "set".

Keeping them in that case contributes to the smell. I have the yellow and red cases for some of my nut drivers, but as you can see, I don't keep them in there. I took them out, cleaned the handles (I usually use windex), and keep them in my toolbox. Sure, they still smell a little, but they don't run you out of the room like they do when they are sealed in those clamshell cases.

Just a tip from your friendly neighborhood xcelite nut.
