I picked up a minimal Gearwrench set a couple years ago, but it's missing several sizes.

I'm currently looking at the Tekton reversible.

13 pc SAE 1/4"-thru 1"
19pc Metric 6mm thru 24mm

Anything else I should consider at this price point?

I'm not a pro, just a weekend DIY'er.

I have the Tekton. I like the 6 point box ends but some hate them. If that's a deal breaker, pretty much everyone else uses 12 point box ends.
Carlyle, ICON, EZ Red, etc.
I'd like a set of GearTechs in the twist style.

I'm super happy so far. I do a fair amount of automotive DIY projects, and they've been good.

My non-ratcheting wrenches are the Tekton set, ~$45 from Amazon and they're fantastic. No skips, nice chrome, and the fit is great. Far more comfortable, in my opinion at least, than the raised panel design others offer.

Those Geartech twist wrenches look pretty nice too!

Gearwrench makes larger no skip sets as well. I have the 120xp combination sets. The SAE includes the 7, 9, 11 /32nd also.

Lots of rebrands of thise geartechs if look towards europe tool brands.
geartech is an infar brand label.
They actually just average ratchet wrenches. I had the carolus sets as found them silly cheap on ebay uk, not nicest taiwan ratchet wrenches I handled and under 10mm was not 72 tooth, heads little bulky fo my preference too .
Worth looking for the facom usag or premier branded ratchet wrenches, some of nicest slim heads with durable ratchet for fairly sensible cost if keep eye on eBay and amazon .

I have the ratcheting Gearwrench ones, both metric and SAE with no skips. I am quite happy with them. I do not have the Tekton ratcheting wrenches, but I have other Tekton tools that I am very happy with.

I have never needed to warranty any of my Tekton tools, but I have needed warranty on my 14mm Gearwrench ratcheting wrench. The warranty process was a bit of a pain, I contacted them directly for service. As already mentioned, a big difference is that Tekton has 6 point closed ends whereas Gearwrench has 12 point. I only have one non ratcheting wrench set in 6 point, otherwise, I usually prefer my wrenches in 12 point ... but it is not necessarily a deal breaker.

Tekton has done a really good job of making their products available with no skips. From sockets to wrenches I think they’re the best if the non truck brands in that department. Their combo wrenches from 8-22 with no skips is impressive for less than $50.

I’d certainly buy the ratcheting wrenches if I didn’t already have them in another brand
