My saga continues with my "new" facebook find toolbox. Was checking out the Craftsman site to see about some parts (actually was just looking to see if I can get a new badge for it), but they can only look up based on model #. The sticker in the drawer is missing, and apparently there's supposed to be a sticker on the bottom as well I will look for later, but thought others here may know.

Sears support said the physical description and date code are insufficient..

41" wide, 41" tall (including casters), 18" deep. 15 drawers, friction slide. Date code 10-96, Made in USA. Red frame, black drawers.

Anyone know what it is? Anybody have a 1996 toolbox catalog laying around?

With the newer boxes the model number is in a top drawer on the right side. Usually a white sticker.

I'm sure you probably have looked there.

Why do you need the model number? For craftsman boxes the model number is typically useless, compared to other brands like snap on or the like that make good records of models. If you want parts, contact waterloo, the person that actually made that box.

Yep, no sticker in any drawer.

Sears had a way on the website to search for parts by box model #. I have also been talking to Waterloo to get some information as well.

What parts are you looking for? Waterloo should be able to help with parts. Generally, the parts are pretty standard over years.

Thought maybe I could help at first as I have a 41" wide 14 drawer lower though they call it a 40" (and the matching top chest) all with the ball bearing slides and positive drawer locks. I bought it around '98. Love it too!

And I also have a catalog Circa 2000 but that list the only 13 and 14 drawer lowers, in both ball bearing and friction slide but no 15 drawer option. Sorry :(

You got a special one there for sure

Actually, I may have a 1995 or 96 catalog around. I'll take a look tonight.

Basically the only difference in the 15 vs 14 or even the 13 is the two small 2" drawers up top vs one 4" deep drawer on both of the others, including friction slide

All emblem seems to be the same. Mine has a special "ball bearing" logo along with the standard Craftsman badge

Well, you aren't going to be getting slides for that model most likely. As they dumped friction slides for ball bearing. As for the model, its a 6-drawer. They still make it though.

Are you just wanting to get a new Craftsman name badge ? I have a similar box from that era and can check the part number. I'm sure it will be the same badge, yours/mine.

The other badge next to the Craftsman, I can't help with.
