I’m curious about that as well. My big concern with anything HF is the SWITCH holding up. Get that price to $20 and I’d bite. I wonder if their 25% coupon will go in addition to the sale price[emoji848]

Most likely a "no go". Braun is typically one of the brands that the discount % off will not work. IMHO, Braun is a very nice product for the price.

I bought a couple yesterday. IMHO well worth the money. Nice compact design. Feels robust enough. Switch seems firm. Throws a lot of light for its size. I'm going to use it today for an oil change. I can see putting it on the floor will light the whole underside of the car. I think I'm going to like it as much as the Braun stick light.

As I get older, there never seems to be enough light.

That looks a lot like the CAT branded models Costco was selling. I have a CAT one. It's fine for what it is but don't expect to light up a field with it.

Very similar, but this Braun light seems to have a significantly larger LED panel:

Braun claims 650/1250 lumens. The CAT packaging was claiming 550/1100 lumens.

If I remember right - you can replace the batteries in these if need be.. i think it was 2 18650’s shrinked together with a little plug/harness like a rechargeable house phone.

99% sure this is the inside.. (Cat)

I'll have to swing by HF this weekend and see if they've got any of these new lights in my local store. Might pick up a couple if they do - and I'll pop one open for a comparison shot.

Here's the inside of the Braun light:

I'm not out in my shop right now, so I can't check, but does the CAT light have a threaded pocket for a tripod mount? The Braun does.

Out of the package, this thing puts out an amazing amount of light - I'll have to compare to my CAT lights tomorrow, but it really does seem loads brighter.

I bought one last week.....

There is a hole in the back of the packaging so you can test how bright the light will be. There is also five or six different settings.

DON'T look at the light and start pressing the button to see if it works!!!:shocking::shocking:

Don't ask me why I know this^^^^....:)

"Help me, help me!" ?

I've usually seen blinking/strobing functions billed as a safety/alert feature.

Likely, it's a function that costs nothing to add, so it's added. More is always better, right?

If you’re not in a big hurry, many of the Harbor Freight lights can be had cheaper at AliExpress.

I’ve found the Quantum 588 lumen flashlight for under $4 and it sells for $10 after coupon at HF.

There's high, low, slow blink high, fast blink high, off.

actually, mine has another setting....

I still had mine in the pkg and hit the button. I was waiting for the bright light, nothing. So I turned it around to look and see what's going on..hit the button and then on comes the bright light. Seems there is a wake up or check battery power setting that is first....then high, low, etc.

Never ordered anything on AliExpress. Are they reliable? Can you trust paying by cc with them?

AliExpress is a consumer-level Alibaba portal. You're buying from a variety of foreign sources (sort of like factory direct from a bazillion Chinese factories).

I believe the payment portal is secure enough, but reliability is on each seller.

Much the same as Amazon, just look at the seller ratings. I’ve got over 50 individual orders and only had a problem with one. I don’t know if they’re more secure than Amazon but when I first signed up it sure seemed like it. They were all about verification.

Alibaba is a HUGE company and did more in sales in 15 minutes (on their event, singles day) than Amazon did all of Prime Day.

Confirmed - CAT light does not have the stud-mount like the Braun does.

Don't like the bulkiness of that Ali clone joe posted - interestingly, it's got toolless battery install/replacement. Careful, though, because it appears there are four separate "combos" and the cheapest one doesn't appear to come with batteries.

They also have the same ones at Walmart witch I have. They have a super long charge time like 6-8 hours but work well for me. And are a battery back up too on a job site
