Hey guys, i have a bunch of gearwrench ratchets, both 84 and 120xp models. The thing ive noticed, that bothers me, is that the 120xps ALL have trouble switching the selector. If a tooth is resting on a pawl it wont switch. You have to wiggle it a bit to switch, and then it switches smoothly. Is this normal for these? Is there any way to fix this? Ive tried both oil and grease in them, it seems to male little difference
No, all used, im not upset as its not a huge deal, just an annoyance. Both my 1/4 and 3/8 do it. I sont have a half..That's odd, I have a 4 piece set of the 120 XPs and love them. I've used the 3/8 flex head, the 3/8 stubby, and the 1/4 flex head as well, and never noticed any issues, and definitely not an issue with the reverse selector.
Where did you purchase your GW 120 XPs from? Did you but them new?
