You sir, are a busy man. Für Ihre Gesundheit!
Your house has turned out beautiful! I've been following along on your build from the beginning and I hope you are enjoying the move in, even though it's a ton of work. Thanks for sharing.![]()
Thanks all for your kind words. There's still so much to do, especially in the workshop / Garage area, so stay tuned if you're in for more
Time for a much overdue update. Thinks have settled a bit here and all the basic stuff is working. Landscaping is still going on but should be done within the next two weeks. now it's about to set up all the details, etc.
So, landscapers have been busy making a walkway to the house, so we can use the main entrance door now
It's almost completed, and you can see the outside lighting, Mailbox and temporary fence (made out of sheep fences *lol*) i installed last week as well (more lighting to come)
The path continues into the attached shed which is now almost done as well.
I completed the installation of our garden watering system:
We got our ceramic terrace tiles deliverd
And the gardening guys prepared the terrace area with some "light" concrete for the tiles:
For my "industrial" themed office, i reworked some old barn-lamps and resprayed them to have a fitting colour theme:
Ended out great if you ask me
Also made courtain rail from some old cast-iron heating tubes:
Also sanded down our neighbours old dining table which we got for free and etched it in the same colour as the floor, so it does match better. It's not perfect but i like the imperfections somehow:
Now that the basic office is set up and most of the living area space is more or less done (still a ton of details to finish and set up), i finally found some time today to start to set up the workshop and garage area...
First i hung up the soap dispenser, mirror and broom:
I managed to make the two workbenches into one big one with three leg-pairs. Since i got one extra, i have a set of legs left-over now
My father-in-law had an old workbench tabletop leftover in his barn. so i will cut it smaller and make a soldering and electronic workshop table out of it. Brilliant. Also need to sand it down and oil it with linseed oil for better protection and to have the same looks as the other workbenches. So far so good. still have the whole day tomorrow and today evening to get some more work done...
