Because you know it, and use it or reference it on a regular basis in your line of work. For others who are not in the field, it can be a PITA to find things.
Think of it this way. A bus driver has had the same route in New York City for 20 years. He knows the roads, where the one way streets are, where the heaviest traffic is for any given time of day, where the construction zones are, and how to get around these things to get his passengers to their destinations on time.
Now you have a guy who has never been to New York City trying to find his way around, and get to a specific place he has never seen before, and does not know his way around the city at all.
It is a PITA for him to get around because he does not know where everything is, how to navigate the streets and has no clue how to bypass the construction zones. For this guy, it can be a very daunting experience.
But for the bus driver, it is not a PITA because he has been doing it for years and years.
Same basic point as trying to find any information in documents that are thousands of pages. If you have been thru it before, you know where to look. If you are seeing it for the first time, it can be difficult to find what you are looking for.
