A while back I got this Medical cabinet for free, and it's just been a catch all for a bunch of random stuff. Each section is about 12.5" tall, and 9.5" between separators.

Right now my only plan has been to make some wood boxes for storing various parts or tools to clean it up. Maybe make some large plywood or metal doors that can have various tools, parts or similar hanging off of?

Each separate section can be separated if needed and attached elsewhere if there is a good idea.

Right now it's just like a big exposed junk drawer, and there has to be a some good improvements. It's fairly heavy duty and stout enough to be completely full of paper.

I'm open to anything.

looks pretty light weight, I cant see going to heavy on any one shelf.

my first thought was spray can, oil, etc.. storage, safety stands on the bottom,.

a couple of pegboard doors?

I have a dedicated chemical cabinet which stores all my paint/oil/solvents which uses an old electrical box. The height/width doesn't work great for a lot of things like cans, which is why I was thinking a parts cabinet.

The metal is on the thinner side, but has a lot of folds and supports so it's surprisingly rigid.

Pegboard or plywood doors is so far the best idea. Tools can go on the door, parts/hardware for different projects in boxes on the shelves.

I'd use a couple of sections for a cordless tool storage and charging station.

I see a bolt and small, parts bin shelf.
I would get the plastic bins to put on that shelf,to,hold bolts and such.
And I would also use it for storing paint, oil, filters, and such in a very organized way

So far I have converted all my scrap leftover plywood into a bunch of storage boxes. Cleaned out a few junk drawers and it's really made the cabinet look cleaner. Attached some pictures.

I believe those may be made to match up with the Akro-Mils plastic storage bins.

Nice, bin 30130 would be a perfect fit. 6-5/8" wide 11-5/8" deep. Look to be around $50 a dozen on Amazon.

My one workbench has a bunch of drawers which had random hardware and were in the junk drawer territory. Been cleaning them out and filling up some bins and I think this is probably the way to go.

I'd use a couple of sections for a cordless tool storage and charging station.

I'm thinking of building a full sized door that is about a foot deep and is hinged on one corner and has some caster wheels. Inside is a french cleat and I can add storage for my larger tools that take up space in other tool boxes.
