There is a new flier at work that is all Falcon tools. They look like a spline drive that is suppose to fit standard and metric 6pt, 12pt, square heads, and several other types of fasteners. I searched for them and they are on Lawson products website but do not list prices. I would imagine that they would have a tendency to round off bolts but I could be wrong.

The website is terrible; you need to request for a quote to get pricing ..
:wtf:

The reason its terrible is because Lawson Products (Lawson Group) is a stocking sales rep agency...they usually dont sell to the end user....usually to other businesses

You need an account to buy from Lawsons. I can get stuff form them through my dad, but Its usually not worth it. They tend to be rather expensive. They DO sell alot of high quality stuff, notably thier hardware.

These are spline drives. SK and Snap On both sell spline drive. Im not really too sure about it, but I have been considering a set of them. Mostly because they will work with 12pts as well as torx and such. Id probably just get a set of shallows.

Has anybody used them extensivly? Are they more likely or less likely to round out a fastener than a 12pt?

Those Falcon ratchets look a LOT like those Titan brand (Taiwan) ratchets that the toolwarehouse.net sells.

There were no prices in the flier and a guy at work tried to get prices and he was told to call the area rep.

I just called them and they do sell to the end-user. They are mailing me a catalog. I am interested in their socket sets. They gave me over to a sales rep and they do sell to end-users mail order. Will see what the catalog shows.

I bought a set of SK Spline sockets a few months ago. I really like them. They are the eaisest socket to get on a fastener I've ever used. This is a big advantage when you have to get a socket and ratchet into a place that you can't see. The socket goes on without having to turn it any to get on the fastener. I normally use six point sockets and after useing the spline sockets the first time they became my go to set.

The only problem I have had with them is on bolt heads that are shallow. If they are really tight or you can't get a good straight pull on the ratchet the socket will tend to slip off.

So they will not replace 12 point or 6 point sockets but they do have thier place. In blind spots or using a flex handle you can't beat them for speed and ease of use.

I have a set of the deep sockets (12pc), the 3/8" drive ratchet and the Palm ratchet, I like them for what I used them on.

I paid $38 for the sockets/rail, $20 for the Ratchet and right around $50 for all three palm ratchets.

Yeah - the other day, I hit my knee with a hammer and it became a "FALCON HAMMER" at the top of my lungs. The other week, I snapped off the head of a bolt with my Craftsman ratchet and it became a "FALCON WRENCH", also at the top of my lungs.

So yeah, I've used some falcon tools.....
