am new and need help. have the lumber, lag bolts, 3 1/3" torque screws, but not the plans to make the skids for a 3-sided shelter.

A little more info would help. How big will this structure be? Will it have a floor? What is the use? What kind of lumber do you have?

Since your located in the Pasture I'm assuming this is for use with animals. What animals, Cows take a different approach than chickens. Is this a feed bunk, or something the animals can get in for protection. How often will it be moved? Are you moving it with a large rig or by hand? What weather conditions does it have to endure? The rains here in the valley are different than the High Desert east of here.

Seriously. Lumber without plans? Either a bunch of wasted money or not enough materials.
Also, it is Torx not torque. Probably will help when you need more screws or bits

Anything with a floor that is low to the ground is just an invention for "varmits" (skunks, possums, raccoons, etc) to move in underneath ! If you move it every 3 months they won't get too cozy !Since your located in the Pasture I'm assuming this is for use with animals.
A lot depends on how much weight the floor has to support. The maximum spacing should be 48", but if you have a heavy load, 24" or 16" would be better.
The skid themselves should be at least PT 4x6 or 4x8. Again, if it is a very heavy load 6x10 is not out of the question. You can use 2by material nailed/screwed together to get your width.
