Cruising though Ebay for some parts to fix up my Stihl saw I came across this add :wtf: . I looked it over, and sure enough they are selling a "New" GAS chainsaw for 22 bucks. How on earth can they make money on this? there is know way.
I bought it. I have seen adds like this before. I once saw a 5500w generator for $99 shipped. Turned out to be a scam and Ebay refunded my money, and pulled the listing.
I see some saws in the $30-$40 range but those are "remans". This looks to be a brand new saw, Blahaha.
I will be surprised :shocking: if I actually get a complete saw, With out this being a scam of some sort. I will be completely floored if the saw actually start up, runs and cuts a piece of wood. That would be amazing at this price.

I'd be surprised if you actually get anything.
The seller is from China, only has 15 feedback, and no feedback in the last year.
Next cheapest X-Bull 62cc is $76.
So he suddenly gets a batch of chainsaws to sell?
Did they fall off a truck in front of his hut?
Not a very good scammer either. If he wanted to **** more people in, he should have priced it at $50.

I gambled and lost on this the first time I saw a Milwaukee impact for $46. It’s totally a scam. You pay, they receive the cash, they disappear, eBay reimburses you, eBay raises their fees by 1/10th of a percent and make up for all of the annual losses to fraud. It is 100% a scam.

Why even piss away $22 on the chance..........even it shows up, it’s still a POS.
Wait a month for the boat to arrive if makes it through customs ?

Question is : Are you part of the problem* or the solution..........?

* scams of all kinds........Payment , China ****, China shipping subsidies, stolen goods, sub standard goods.

Faster and easier to light the $20 in your garage for heat........less hassle less risk.

How about paying in un-activated gift cards.

There's some hassle but absolutely no risk. Get nothing and you file an INR with Ebay. Get something that doesn't meet the description and the seller eats the return shipping and the buyer get's a refund from Ebay.

The likely scam is that some buyers will forget they bought the item and miss the deadline for making an Ebay INR claim.

Yes, you’ll get your money back but basically you’re lending your money to a criminal. You are supporting fraud and increased costs for everyone. The dude has already scammed $1000 from eBay and PayPal. Your money will be ******* for WEEKS. eBay doesn’t just refund your money instantly. You’ll have to wait a long time before they will even let you open up a case. Then you’ll have to wait a long time for the seller to interact. Then eBay will have to make a decision. When this happened to me it was about a month before I received a credit.

You’re getting your money back, but there’s no way you’re getting the chainsaw. I looked up similar looking saws on AliExpress and even they don’t sell them near that cheap.

I get what your saying, I fully understand Ill tie up a WHOLE $21.99 for some time. But its worth a shot in my book. I have wasted more on one roll at the craps table

I did the same thing, I cant find anything down in anything NEW in that price range. Like I said, I found a Polan Pro for $35 bucks but it was just a manufactured saw direct from china.
Ebay put a delivery date between Nov 15 ~25. So if I have nothing by the end of the month we will know the fate of this deal.
NO I will not just forget about my deal, if I dont get a saw, I apply for a refund. But if I do get a "COMPLETE" saw, They can keep the money. Fairs, fair. No mater how crusty it is, if it matches the description it a deal. Im in it for the giggles.
