Ceiling Fan Install

I am trying to figure out the best way to install a ceiling fan in my shop.

I am in the process of converting all of my old fluorescents to LED's and I will be rearranging the fixtures as well.

I also figured I would add a couple of fans and I'm trying to figure out the best way to mount/install them.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Considering your lighting layout, have you thought about a wall mounted fan or 2; possibly oscillating style?

I have not thought of that, I was leaning toward an 84" or 96" ceiling fan.

With the new lighting layout I can plan around the ceiling fan
I'm planning on changing the layout of the lights to something like this:

Pretty cool, light structure.

I would use Unistrut or similar clamped down with U bolts between trusses.

If the ceiling fans will be below the lights, you're going to hate the strobe effect. If they're above, the lights may away a bit. Just a few things to consider.

I have two Craigslist five blade ceiling fans in my shop. One fan was, IIRC $10 and the other was free.
Rather than trusting an electric box to hold the fan, I made a kind of bridge, from 2"X 1" steel tube, to hold the fan separate from the e-box. I made the "bridge" about 18 inches long and aligned it with the truss above. The bridges are secured to the truss with four screws, each.
I have a ceiling fan in each end of the shop. The furnace does not have to operate as long before shutting off.
These fans have made a huge difference in creature comfort. The air does not become stratified, now.
