Saw a gleaming wrench near a curb, and was able to pull over and retrieve it. A Snappy combo wrench flank drive plus in 12mm. Cleaned it with solvent. A little worse for wear but perfect for my needs.

Best of all was the price - FREE!

Man I've been looking for that wrench, good thing it didn't fall off until that truck got out to the SW Desert or it would be all rusty by now:lol:

bonneyman, I can't believe nobody has given you a "You ****!" yet? Good eyes, man!

Most often, when I see a shiny wrench beside the road, I assume is a Harbor Freight full polish thing not worth risking my life for.

I found a 10mm Snap On combo in a bike lane while bike commuting. It was dark but the bright finish was reflect by the headlamp. It was the fourth combo wrench while bicycling and the nicest. It has been my go to wrench in the most common size I use.

I found a 3/8 SnapOn ratchet, a long one, in the road. I put on new soft handle for $13.00.
