BTW- I was all ready to report the seller to Ebay for exorbitant shipping costs- they have really started to crack down on that and they WILL make life difficult for sellers who abuse it.

its actually against Ebay's TOS to grossly overcharge on shipping so they'd stand behind you anyway.

Something is apparently wrong with the shipping calculator. I just entered a random zip code of 90854 and shipping was $58.70.

Shipping to me in CA was over $58.00!!!! I sent the seller a message asking about the shipping and telling him that the shipping cost was a deal breaker. We'll see what they say.

Seller must be in the Illinois area there abouts. I believe it calculates the shipping charges automatically. I hit see all details link below shipping price and put in a Chicago zip code and it changed from $58 to $12.

For me, it shows $12.70 for Priority and $11.27 for Parcel.

$14.70 priority/$11.92 parcel post shipped to So Cal. If you want to get technical, both ratchets would easily fit in a priority medium flat rate box (the rectangular type-not square type-maybe both) for $10.70 anywhere in the US, or at least lower 48-not sure. Ask the seller if he's willing to use this option-if he's an honest seller-he should have no problem.

Unfortunately, that's the nature of the beast. Happened to me before too. What about when something sells for a lot more than you expected, kinda makes up for the losers.

Got a reply back from the seller:

"wow...i dont know why it showed that much for shipping.....i went back and revised it ...try it again and see what it does ..i think they have a problem with their shipping calculator

It adjusted the shipping to me in central CA to $14.78 and $11.20 depending on how fast I want them. Makes the final cost a little more reasonable.
