So with how my garage is laid out I really only have one option for heater placement, in a corner above a walk thru door. Can I horizontal vent about 4' above the door? I didn't see anything in my directions about venting above a door. The door is only used to access a kennel for my work K9. I am installing a Big Maxx 50k and have 12' ceilings. Going thru the roof is not an option due to the second story over part of the garage.

Well got my own answer. Mr. Heater does not recommend it due to any water that may drip causing ice outside the door. However, the city inspector said it would be fine since it is just over a dog kennel.

At 4' you're fine. You can't terminate within 12" of any building opening.
