MAWRICK: since I don't know how rare a European or Scandinavian vice is I can tell you that the vice you posted is not common here. it's also pretty old and guessing maybe WWI era, but definitely before WWII.
those feet on that vice tend to break off easier so finding a vice that old with their feet in tack is a good thing. it looks like maybe there is welding spatter on top of the jaws, but doesn't look like any actual welds so take a close look at that.
if I had the cash in my pocket and the seller mentioned a number I could live with I'd take it home even if it was only going to sit on a shelf if that helps you.
besides checking for welds and cracks turn the vice's screw in and out and even take out the dynamic jaw all the way so you can inspect the screw and vise nut and insides.
Like I mentioned to me being on the west coast of USA it's a rare vice (vise), but you might see more in your area. if you need a vice it looks like a good one and if you'd like to post jaw width and weight it might help others let you know what it is. or do you know those measurements?
