Hey, Fellas I just bought a new DeWalt 10 in. 15 amp. Job Site Table Saw. Lowes had them on sale $549.00 plus my 10%. Does anyone else have one if so what do you think of it?
Thanks, Guys

At that price, I assume the DWE7491RS. Great saw. I have it. I jumped on that one because the miter tracks are like a full size table saw where accessories lock into the track. All the others have basic square miter tracks.
I got lucky though. They had a clearance price at $499 last year. I chose the smaller saw because of limited space. I did put it on a separate roll around cart and sold the folding cart for $100
It is really a great small saw. You will enjoy it!

My brother has one (I don't know the model number) and also has the folding/rolling base.

The saw is great, but the fence ***** for precision. It is ok for a quick and pretty nice cut, but there is no way to ensure accuracy.

If it is the 7491 RS, it is one great saw. I downsized from a 3HP Unisaw and went with out a table saw for a couple of years using only a track saw. I wanted to rip narrow pieces for face frame and door frames and got the 7491. It has really surprised me about how capable it is.

I run full kerf Forrest WW II blades with out problems and it spins a full sized 8" dado just fine. Of course the feed rate is slower than my old cabinet saw, but it is a well built tool for the compromises that have to be made with lightweight portable jobsite saws.

I took the time with a dial indicator to make sure that the miter slots are parallel to the blade and likewise for the rip fence. Very little tuning was needed, but the adjustments are designed into this saw if needed. The fence is a strong point on this saw, however the included miter gauge is worthless. I replaced mine with an Incra model that is excellent and added LeeCraft zero clearance inserts for tear out free work.

I built an outfeed table and an infeed table which have greatly enhanced the performance and versatility of this saw. You'll be happy with the 7491RS for sure.

The outfeed and infeed tables attach to the saw without tools. The infeed table allows the crosscut sled to be fully retracted in font of the blade without tipping.

For those who find the fence not sufficient, a reversibile aux tall and long fence may be helpful. I like feather boards and this fence has been very handy at times.

If any of these mods might interest you, PM me as I have documented the building processes in PDFs. Although not "plans" per se, will share freely.

For those who disdain lowly "jobsite saws"................ Maybe think again :)

UPDATE 11-17-2020: I learned that DeWalt changed the upper rear cross member from tubular to a flat C-channel sometime after my saw was built (Type 2 manufactured 2017). Fortunately the overall outfeed table concept is still valid but the "hook" feature of the support wing will need to be adapted accordingly.

I don’t use mine as often as I use my dewalt 10in sliding miter, but when you need a table saw you need one. And for me anyway this one is really good. It’s a plus that both my miter and my table are 10in, because when applicable I can swap blades between the two.

I browse here from time to time. You guys are out of my league but I enjoy reading and learning.

I too had to get rid of my old table saw for space reasons and bought a 7941 RS. And I have some of those same questions on the short infeed. Chevota Guy, that's some nice stuff and I appreciate your willingness to share. I will be shooting you a PM.

Hi, Chevota Guy!

I just bought a DeWalt DWE7491, and I was hoping you could share your plans/process for the infeed and outfeed tables? Yours look great!! (I will send a PM, and thanks, in advance)

I love my 7491rs and also have an outfeed table for it. Next project is an add on for the fence to allow for using a feather board 90 degrees to the table.

I have the smaller 745 and it has been super useful. I am just mad I waiting so long to get the folding stand for it as it made it a lot easier on my back.

I've got two of the DW745s. Great saws. Accurate enough to do cabinet work. Light enough to set up anywhere.

Your accessories are exactly what I have been looking for. I’ve been considering multiple options for an outfeed on this saw. I’ll PM you as you have graciously offered for receipt of your plans. Thanks for sharing!

This is great. I'm new to the forum, and am interested in this particular saw, the inboard/outboard additions and cross-cut sled. Please post the PDFs when you get a moment

Chevota Guy,

I know this is an old post but have to say you did a very nice job finishing it, love the sleds and outfeed tables. Good to hear a full kerf blade is working well, that's huge testament to this saws capabilities.

What you've done will seriously improve the capabilities of that saw and could replace approx. 80% of cabinet table saws being used plus it looks really nice.

I have two nice Unisaws and currently rebuilding a 85lb Unisaw motor but laugh what I'm using them for as a proper set up like yours would work for most and save a ton shop space. Just don't rip massive pieces of hard lumber anymore and all my sheeting is cut with a track saw and them finished on the unisaw. One unisaw is only being used to cut aluminum.

Hello... I just purchased the 7491RS newer model with the square cross bar. This is an amazing versatile portable saw!
Very impressed with the out feed table Chevota Guy built and was wondering if the plans are available. if so, how can I get them?

Can you share more pictures of the infeed table? I have the same saw and could use one just like yours! Thanks!

I'm loving this saw so far. I'm playing with a dust collection setup that pulls from over the blade and under the table simultaneously. If anyone has an efficient setup for this, I'd love to hear about it.

Scrapping my outfeed table plans and PMing Chevota Guy lol

that looks nice. I have had the saw for a while now, but it definitely needs outfeed as a crosscut sled is tippy to use on it.
