I'm Wayne from NW Florida. Hope I'm in the right forum. I found your site while looking for some info about building a mezzanine. My shop is a 50x30 steel building with 14' side walls and needs more room, lol. I build signs using metal fabrication tools, woodworking, and CNC. I also like to tinker with designing and building CNC stuff. This is my hotwire cutter design, cutting the base for a monument sign....
Well, it looks like I can't post links yet. Just search "paragon 120D" on Youtube. The machine has 4 stepper motors which can cut tapered parts in independent mode, or be slaved as two axes, in MACH3, for cutting typical 90 degree stuff. It also has a 5th rotary axis for cutting round stuff.
As soon as I get my mezzanine built, and get more room, I plan to build a fast servo powered CNC router, a plasma cutter, and...... Thanks for letting me join! Below is a sign made on the Paragon 120D
