The new Crafstman screwdriver landed in stores, my store had this display up although the price showed $29 on the display it rang up $39 which I had a feeling anyways. Was able to get that price corrected at Customer Service it seems it’ll be a Black Friday deal. If anyone is looking to grab one I’d either hold out or try your luck using this picture.

checked online local stores, two of the three stores show 20% off, $39 price, one store shows 49 price.

ROFL. Yeah, old dishwasher leaks out the bottom of the door and replacing the gasket didn't fix it, so we've been dishwasher less for several months now. That really just means I wash the dishes 90% of the time.

What do you use for detergent? When we first got our KitchenAid, for the first year or two, we were using the Cascade Platinum pods, and the dishwasher would leak on occasion out the door. I could reach behind and the felt/foam on the inside of the door would be saturated. Took me forever to figure out that it was sudsing too much and the suds were soaking into the door foam and hence leaking. Have since changed to no frill standard pods that are just powder detergent and haven't had a problem since. Might be worth a shot.

Interesting thought. We use Cascade platinum liquid. I replaced the Fridgaire with a the Bosch I got on clearance and haven't had any issues with it. I'm fairly certain it was the dishwasher as it had a rubber gasket that would fall out. I tried glueing it with food safe silicone, but it would only last a couple washes before it fell out again.

12" DeWalt Double Compound miter saw is on sale, $599, as a black friday deal that includes a stand (usually $125.00). Went in intending to buy, walked out with a 10" Kobalt.
That would've been the only 12" saw I had, my contractor's saw and the miter saw I'm replacing are 10s.
Of the 10" double compounds I liked the feel of the Kobalt carriage travel best.

Found the hitachi c10fshc 10” dual bevel sliding miter saw. Figured it’d be steeply discounted, as they’ve switched to the metabo label now. But I had it price checked and even with it being open boxed and hitachi, they want 319.99. Online the metabo is only 279.99, and like I said, it being the old name and in a beat up box I was hoping for a steal. Any experience with situation like this? Think if I talk to the right guy it’s be cheap or would I be wasting my time?

I would certainly talk to the manager, that saw may sit there forever at $320.

They slapped a label on it with the new metabo item number and wrote NPI in marker on it. The employee helping me didn’t know what NPI meant but did see that the Lowe’s sticker on it was for the new model (just the new name I assume, hitachi to metabo).

I don't know what NPI is, but DNI is Do Not Inventory which is used for old stock items they are pulling from shelves.

N-- Product Inventory?

NPI stands for NON PRODUCTIVE INVENTORY and it is meant for items that don’t "move" so the local store will start the discount at 75% off and increase every week until sold...... This is how some items are 90% discounted.
EG: Holiday items, seasonal items, open box returns, etc.

I have a nephew that works for lowes he says they will make a deal, and they will price match anything in the store with a competitor.

How do you guys approach a manager in a situation like this? Try to play dumb, act like you want a discount because it’s a open box? Or let them know that I know they have replaced it with metabo equivalent and that they should be willing to deal on it with the new branding? I never know how to approach deals like this and seem to never get the outcome I’m hoping for.

Super regional too. Good luck pulling this in my area. I live in the 10th biggest city in the country but only 1 Lowe’s in actual city limits. Never any clearance deals because they know (correctly) whatever they have will sell at full MSRP no problem. Rural area or several competing stores and better luck.

I was able to get it for $150. It was NPI, non productive inventory as someone stated here. Manager let tool man take his choice of saws to use to build the holiday displays for drills etc. so he used this saw for 2 days. I tried to get them down more, but the only thing missing was the blade wrench. They cleaned it up really well and repackaged it...they wouldn’t budge so I just took it.

Almost took their old hitachi 10” basic miter saw to give as a gift but they wouldn’t go below $50 and it was missing the blade, wrench, bag, bolt for the blade, box, manual, everything but the saw. Not worth the headache to me.

I would say 150 gets you into the you **** area. Good deal sir.
My local lowes is across the street from HD and there are probably 6 or 7 other lowes within 30 minutes so deals are pretty easy.
My Nephew will not deal with me at the store and that's good, don't want people saying he gave it to me.

Real Nice Deal for You Guys.
Did theh guy in front of you ask for the discount?
Shows $75.00 on line at my store.
Would be nice in the car.

When the employee rang it up it showed $52 but then the guy said that the manager told him $25 and the manager happened to be close by and told the employee he's correct and to do a price override. My buddy went the following day and they still showed the price on the box marked down to $52 but they rang up $25.

I snagged one of the jawstands. It was a bit of a PITA to put together as the friction band was bent so I had to loosen both sides and persuade it together, but it appears to work as advertised. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but should this weekend.

Eh, snagged 2 from Millerville a little cheaper than this one before I posted. You probably got one of my gorilla carts though as I wasn't around when they dropped:beer:

Which gorilla carts went on clearance? I could really use one of those.

Thanks for the heads up on the Rockwell saw stand Mctiger. There were actually still three in the store I went to. The shelf tag still showed it at $42.99, but scanned it with the app and it came up $27.99. Told the wife she'd bought me a Christmas present.
