Congrats on the Wilton C0, it looks like new old stock. What’s the date on it?

Bob: I have a 204-1/2 also, pretty nice vise IMO.
Hey maybe we should form a club?![]()
Ken,
Does my Ridgid branded 204 1/2 qualify?

Try craigslist, facebook, estate sales, offerup, flea markets, garage sales. There are plenty of home owner type vises out there.
to that.
Ken,
Does my Ridgid branded 204 1/2 qualify?
Yep! Sure does, I have one of those too. Maybe we should form an offshoot Rigid club?
You did a really nice job on it BTW.
A.B.:
That’s a nice group. Just a “few” vises right?
Nice lunch spread. Chili con carne with sour cream & cheese, and some what look likes dehydrated banana chips... GREAT!
What’s in the bowl on the left? Chopped peppers?

Picked this bad boy (Wilton 600S) up today. I paid full asking price ($450) but he drove about 75 minutes to meet me part way, so I only had about 4.5-5 hours total driving versus about 7. Worth the $50 it sounded like I could have knocked off.
This thing is entirely unused. The vise was never mounted to the swivel base and neither were ever mounted to anything. I think the vise itself had been laying on its side on a floor or something for a bit, or was stored somewhere with moisture, because one side is almost immaculate and one side has a decent bit of surface rust.
I lubed all the moving bits with some SuperLube and cleaned the rest off and gave it a light coat of camellia oil in addition to a soft scrub with a blue Scotchbrite (the softest one). Looks great! Thing is a beast...pop can for scale, of course.
Considering these retail for $1500 I think this might qualify for a 'you ****'.

You can’t go wrong with a Wilton 800 and it looks like it’s in great condition. The 23 seems to be fairly clean. It looks like there could be a repair on the slide at the dynamic jaw but that’s the only thing I can see in the photo.
The slide repair you noted is an issue, the jaws are shot (need to mill them off and drill/tap in replacements) and, most important to its function, it’s missing the spindle nut, which I’m still looking for. I got the swivel lock plunger working, but still haven’t unstuck the swivel jaw and it will eventually need a swivel pin. It’s a big project that will take quite a bit of time to complete, but free is free.
Got this Interesting vise. I don't know who made it yet, but it's called "Pador" and features a double screw/nut system where you only need to turn the handle 1.5 times to open and close the vise completely, but when you clamp down on something the fine thread is active and gives you the full clamping force.
