Sheesh, I promised myself I'd dial back the tool buying for the rest of the month a little bit, and then here comes a target of opportunity, just begging to be fired on :p

Wilton 1760, 6" jaws, don't know what it weighs but it's a pretty heavy mothertrucker... used a couple times by all appearances but more dirty and shelf-worn than anything. Made in the good ol' Red, White & Blue. It wasn't quite a you-**** deal, but considering it was about a third or less of what a similar new model is going for, it was fair.

I even got it before the label fell completely off... lol

It's a slippery road, my friend.

EDIT: Oops! I just got you and ZRX61 mixed up and thought that you were buying vises at an alarming rate! LOL It's addicting.

Nice 6".
I wonder why they went with those silly stickers?
I found out the only way not to buy stuff is to not look for stuff...just to tempting otherwise.

cheaper to slap on a sticker than to add detail to a mold. That vise is still a good product (I have a similar one), but I wonder if this generation is as good as the older ones, with the logo cast into the vise....

Yea, but look at the other side. They cast it into one side and not the other. Likely cost, but geez, comon.

I think they went to the sticker so when Snap-on sold them they could use their own sticker.

I have a 1760 and dont have anything cast on either side It has the indentations for the stickers though. Its a Tradesman, or the best I can decipher from here. Thanks to someone here, I was able to snag the swivel locks and drop the grade 8 bolts.

That vise is sweet. Nice purchase.

I think BMWpower may have a point about not looking for deals being the only way to avoid buying. I personally have no experience in this area, but its a nice theory:lol_hitti
