Just about finished with the installation of my lift.
The motor was shipped with what looked like 12 gauge SOOW cord through a connector, ground to the body of the motor. 2 hots to the contractor switch.
My install plan was to run 10/2 armored cable to a 240V 30 Amp switch, the from that switch run 10/3 sjoow or slow cable into the same place as the manufacturer.
That way in the even something goes wrong I don't have to run across the shop to the breaker panel.
Looking at the contactor, I have to use braided wire because of the jumper wires.
